Booking with Captain Wayne in Dennis was great. He and his first mate were very friendly and gave us easy to understand directions to catch fish. And we did – lots of great striped bass in the boat! Great location – and great opportunity to get out on the water and enjoy the Cape!

Bring snacks, sunscreen & sunglasses and maybe do some arm workouts beforehand. The fish don't mess around and are sometimes tough to reel in if they want to put up a good fight, which they usually do.

Ocean can be a little rough in the morning. When sun comes out sea gets calmer. If you get sick take motion sickness medicine as early as you can to get in your system. Listen to your captain he is very knowledgeable and tries hard to help you catch fish.

For first-timers anywhere (never have gone fishing before, or on a boat), let the captain know what you’re looking for and set expectations and let him guide you. For those with experience but first-timers in Dennis, same as above. I imagine they all grew up there so let them take you fishing the way they go fishing. To all, it’s fishing and not fish-catching.
