Port Renfrew has a fish with your name on it, so let Captn's Sportfishing help you catch it! Get a discount when you book a two day trip.

Your guide for the trip is Captain Morgan, which allows you to benefit from 30 years of sportfishing experience.

Salmon, Halibut, Crab, Rockfish, Lingcod, Coho Salmon, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year.

During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Morgan also offers Flounder jigging.

Feel free to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations. Capt. Morgan can even clean your catch for you. Keep a cooler ready in the car.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 28' Northwest pilothouse boat with space for 5 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.

People in your group might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Some essentials you'll want to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses. Drinks are
included, free of charge(bottled water, coffees).

Now, time to hit the water with Captn's Sportfishing!
5%GST will added to final invoice.

Great Captain , host and fisherman
Full Day Trip on May 13, 20264 adults
Weather was cool and a bit or rain. caught two nice springs and a few rock fish, but not great on the fish side for the group, but humpback whales, porpoise, stunning coastline all made for a great day ! - We did however get our limit on big crab , and the captain was very helpful in cooking these for us - great feast after a day on the water .

Great Trip
Full Day Trip on July 22, 20255 adults
I have fished at some of the better lodges in the Haida Gwaii, and our recent trip to Port Renfrew was comparable to the best of them, first class. Morgan is a good guide (and guy) who loves to fish, is very friendly, and provides great tips during a fight to land your fish. Our trip was two days and we limited on chinook, and halibut, with a some ling cod as well. And the fish processing after including vacuum packing and flash freezing was perfect (this was an additional cost but well worth it). And never mind the number whales we saw during our trip, great bonus. We plan to repeat the trip next July.

Excellent day on the water
Full Day Trip on June 30, 20253 adults
Morgan had us out on the water and on the bite in no time. Truely a professional at the top of his game. Everything in its place and a place for everything let us land almost everything we got on the hook. We came back with a full cooler of salmon and halibut and some crabs to round out the catch.

Highly Recommend
Full Day Trip on June 23, 20252 adults
From when we first booked from New Zealand the total experience was done in a professional manner. The boat was professionally maintained and the skipper was second to none, would highly recommend.
