  • Product Thinking. You are a strategic thinker who is capable of understanding the broader context of a product and how it fits within the market. You will be expected to analyze user needs, identify pain points, and design solutions that address those needs.

  • Communication. You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your design ideas to stakeholders across the business. You understand the value of collaboration and are comfortable working in cross-functional teams.

  • User Empathy. You have a deep understanding of user behavior and can design products that meet the exact needs of the customer. You know how to balance user needs with business goals to create a successful product.

  • Visual Design. You have a strong design sense and can create visually appealing interfaces that are easy to use. You have a keen eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy and are able to use design patterns to solve common problems in the user interface.

  • Prototyping. You are familiar with tools and techniques that can help you build and test interaction affordances, animations, and prototypes. You enjoy using flowcharts and diagrams to communicate problems and ideas and are proficient in using Figma or similar tools to create high-fidelity prototypes.

Pay and conditions

  • Full-time contract. FishingBooker hires Product Designers on a full-time employment contract with 23+ days of paid vacation, plus public and religious holidays observed in Serbia.

  • Pay. We’re proactive about sharing salary information. We assess seniority relative to the team at FishingBooker during the interview process. Depending on your seniority as a Product Designer, you can expect a salary:

  • Product Designer: 1.650 - 2.150 EUR

  • Senior Product Designer: 2.650 - 3.250 EUR

  • Career path. When we start working together, every six months (April and October) you will receive a detailed performance review from your team lead with clear instructions on how to grow further. During these periods, you will also be eligible for salary increases based on your progress and career path.

  • Flexible hours. You are free to set your own working hours, as long as they allow for good collaboration with your teammates. At FishingBooker, we value flexibility, freedom, and focus.

  • Hybrid model. Despite being an office-optional company, the role of Product Designer requires a physical presence in the office for more than 50% of the workweek. We highly value collaboration, communication, and team synergy which can only be achieved through face-to-face interaction. Our office, located next to Delta City in Novi Beograd, is where you will complete two rounds of interviews and undergo full onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration into our team culture.

  • Onboarding and training. You will be assigned a mentor as well as a complete onboarding plan where you will learn the ins and outs of the business, how we work in the team, and our tech stack. We also provide company-sponsored books, trainings, and courses.

  • Private health insurance. You will participate in our private health insurance plan, fully subsidized by FishingBooker.

  • Company-sponsored trips. In 2019 we went to Rovinj, Croatia and in 2018 and 2022 we went to Fujairah, UAE. You will have a diverse team of supportive, caring, and friendly colleagues from all over the world with whom you’ll be able to enjoy additional team-building activities over the course of the year.

  • Apple equipment. Our standard equipment setup typically includes the latest Apple Macbook Pro, coupled with 4K Dell Ultrasharp 24’ monitors and the mouse and keyboard of your choosing. If you prefer to work with a different setup, you’ll be able to choose your equipment, of course.

Projects we did recently:

  • Captain Crew. We recently added a feature that allows captains to list their crew on FishingBooker across multiple platforms, making it easier for customers to find the right captain.

  • Customer Reviews. We also redesigned the review process to improve customers' experience and help them write more meaningful reviews.

  • FishingBooker App. Since launching Angler's mobile app last summer, we have consistently enhanced it with new features and initiatives to improve user adoption.

  • Charter (Listing) Gallery. We're continuously working on conversion rate optimization by designing and running lots of A/B tests. Currently, we’re optimizing the way millions of users interact with the fishing charter galleries.

  • Captain App Navigation. FishingBooker for Captains app v1.0 was launched back in 2017. Years later, the initial app navigation could not sustain the number of new features released and required a different approach and restructuring, which we successfully redefined and deployed last year.

  • Manage Bookings Dashboard. Colleagues from the Support Team are at the forefront of solving user problems. Their primary tool - a dashboard for managing bookings - became too rigid and slow and was standing in the way of their productivity. We did a complete rehaul from the ground up, creating a modern user experience, backed by a fast new backend engine. The result was faster and more accurate problem resolution and happier customers. Our support team was ranked among the top in the industry.

Please include your design portfolio in your application (applications without a portfolio will not be considered). We look forward to hearing from you!
