Join Captain Travis Marsh, an expert in fishing ocean waters, as you go after the stunning Salmon that's available in the area. The Pink Fin Perch is also on the catch list. Crabs are teeming in the area and SOA Charters takes full advantage of that fact, bringing you right to the best spots for crabbing. Children are more than welcome to come on board and get hooked on fishing, though there is a minimum age policy of 5. The captain provides vests in all sizes. The crew will clean and fillet your catch free of charge and the Crab can be cooked and cleaned at the local fishery for an extra fee. Clients are advised to bring adequate clothing, sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses.
Trips can only be booked if there are a minimum of 3 people in the group. License & Tags are required to fish and can be purchased online or at one of the local retailers.

We caught our limit on Roockfish & Crabs. Had a great time!! Captain Tom put us right on top of the fish!!

So glad weather cooperate for you two.
Tom took our family of four out for salmon fishing near the mouth of the Umpqua. We're all new to charter fishing. He was happy to answer our dumb questions and we learned a lot from him. He really accommodated our interests and he looked after everyone to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I wouldn't hesitate to fish with him again.
We enjoyed Josh and Mark as crew. The boat had an enclosed cabin, helpful in the cold wind. We didn’t catch much but will enjoy fresh Chinook salmon for dinner tonight!

Thank you
Mark was extremely helpful and awesome !! My son caught a salmon that we were able to keep it so a delicious dinner was had;) .Mark was great and highly recommended :)

Thank you for the kind words. Glad we were able to accommodate you. Hope to see you all again next year.
Good trip. Caught limt of rock fish with a couple ling cod. Rough seas for size of boat. Try to plan for a calm day.

Appreciate you two hope to see you again, on a little flatter ocean!
Captain Travis has fished his whole life. Having grown up in Washington, he fished the entire state and the coast of Washington. He later moved to Oregon where he took up fishing in the shallow waters and in the ocean. Captain Travis is a fun and lovable person whose previous guests have all enjoyed spending time with, and most of whom are repeat customers. He accredits his love of fishing to his late mother who is known to their family as Granny Jean. Captain Travis says his late mother was an avid fisherwoman who had instilled the love of fishing in him from a young age.
