Join Sandy River Guide Service for an unforgettable fishing trip. Captain Barry Buckland lives off the land and catches fish that others might never see during their lifetime.
Step on board his 17’ ClackaCraft drift boat, a classic vessel that can have you and 2 of your fishing friends on board. The fishfinder, paired with the captain’s extensive knowledge, will get you to the fishing grounds before you know it.
The day will be spent targeting Steelhead, Coho Salmon, and Chinook Salmon, surrounded by Oregon’s beautiful scenery. You’ll use a range of techniques, depending on your experience level, from trolling to jigging. Even the little ones will enjoy this trip, getting back to nature and away from the WiFi.
All rods and reels are provided for the day. The gear won’t let you down when reeling in your trophy catch. Food and drink for the day will also be supplied. Please purchase a fishing license before the trip from Oregon’s Department of Fish and Wildlife Office – if you’ve never purchased a license before, your captain is happy to answer any questions about this. For the species that can be kept (the captain will let you know which ones are in season) he will happily fillet them for you.

Hey fellow anglers this was my second trip with my captain Barry and let me tell you he did his job to perfection as always we maxed out about 3 hrs into an 8 hour trip those eggs and shrimp are magical if u need a good guide and guaranteed fish book with barry

What a phenomenal day on the water. Barry was very welcoming and gave me every chance to get on as many fish as possible. The landscape is beautiful and I had the bonus of catching a massive Chinook!

Half Day Trip on January 29, 2025
We had a great trip with my wife. Very nice captain. Captain was patient, kind and very very knowledgeable. He taught us everything. We also had nice weather despite it being January. We caught two suckers. They were fun. We didn’t catch steelhead but the captain tried his best. He also had a small heater on his boat which was super nice.

This fishing trip was awesome! We learned so much from Captain Barry! We caught a nice sturgeon. I took a lot of notes on everything Captain Barry said. He is very experienced, knowledgeable and easygoing. We definitely plan to go again. It was a real treat!
