On a new Pathfinder 2400 Open fishing out of the premier marina Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor(not a boat ramp).Veteran Owned, is the name to remember if you're looking for huge hookups with a focus on keeping things fun. Captain David Ballard is a St. Augustine native who loves nothing more than sharing his local waters with anglers from all over.

Spend your day fishing either inshore or offshore for a range of species. Inshore, you will be going after local staples like Red and Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and more. Book in for an offshore trip, and you will be heading up to 25 miles out in search of King Mackerel, Cobia, Barracuda, Seabass, and Sharks.

Whatever you're after, Capt. David's NEW Pathfinder 2400 Open center console is the perfect tool for the job. At 24'long, she strikes the perfect balance between nimble inshore and stable offshore. She has a full array of Garmin electronics and all the necessary safety equipment to keep you safe and happy throughout your time onboard.

You can use a variety of techniques on your trip, depending on the species you're after. Whether you're bottom fishing cut baits for Seabass, slow-trolling live baits for Cobia, or throwing lures for Trout and Redfish inshore, you can always count on quality light tackle to let you bring in your fish with confidence.

Seasoned pros and complete beginners will both be warmly-welcomed onboard. You will get a trip tailored to your skills and wishes. In short, Great White Charters aims to offer nothing less than the perfect fishing trip, whatever that means to you.
Child Policy: 6 year or older is recommended. Balance of the trip paid on the boat, no credit card fees charged.

3 Hour Trip – Inshore on November 1, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

We traveled to FL for our 15 yest anniversary trip with our two kids: 11 and 13. Captain David was so easy and pleasant to work with from start to finish! He reached out to us a few days before the trip to understand what we were looking forward to, and then he remained in contact via text leading right up to the trip. Captain David went above and beyond to ensure we caught a variety of fish, made the best recommendation ever to bring our fresh catch of the day over to Aunt Kate’s restaurant and have them fry it up for lunch! He cleaned all our fish for us at the end of the trip before he bagged it up and sent us off to the best lunch we had all week! Captain David was also patient and so kind- out son had a stomachache towards the end and needed a restroom ASAP to avoid any accidents on the boat. Without any hesitation, Captain David zipped the boat right over to a dock where we could quickly get our son to the nearest restroom. We are so grateful for this experience and highly recommend Capt. David to other families looking for a fishing adventure!

What an awesome experience!

Half Day Trip – Inshore on March 14, 2026 • 2 adults • 2 children

My husband, sons (11yo and 13yo) and I had such a great experience chartering with Captain Dave and Great White. He is very knowledgeable, engaging and patient. We caught so many fish, including an 8lb redfish and a10lb black drum. We also caught yellow mouth, whiting, trout and catfish. I would highly recommend this charter company and Capt. Dave!

What a catch of a day!

Half Day Trip – Inshore on August 30, 2025 • 4 adults

Brought my dad here to Florida from Australia to fish unfortunately due to weather couldn’t go out deep sea so did 4 hours inshore and we caught some AWESOME fish. The Captain David was an absolute gentleman very experienced and calm. We caught mango snapper, trout and red fish! Had a blast he knew all the good spots and the boat he has is BEAUTIFUL - looks brand new and he had live bait and a great teacher for beginners. If we head back again we definitely give David a call! What a great day on the water

Excellent Fishing Experience

3 Hour Trip – Inshore on March 9, 2026 • 4 adults

We enjoyed the day out on the awesome, well equipped boat with Captain Ballard. He knows the area, where to catch fish, and was great st communication through the entire process. It was great to see 2 boat captains communicating with each other to ensure we all (both parties, 2 separare boats) had a great fishing experience. Thank you!!

Best Day Charter

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore on May 27, 2025 • 2 adults

This was probably our 5th time chartering a fishing trip through fishing Booker and it was the best yet. We went offshore for 6 hours and had immediate action with Capt. David. He was very knowledgeable about the area and giving beneficial criticism on how we were doing as anglers. We caught 4 kingfish, 2 cobia, and drumroll... A SAILFISH! This was a fishing trip for the books packed with action, stories, and better yet, food to take home

The day started with action and was full of surprises!The cobia were short but still provided a great battle! And to hook a sailfish it was mayhem for a couple of of minutes, got it to the boat grabbed the leader and it pulled the hooks. Mathew and Nadia were great! Thank you for fishing with me, Capt.
