Todd's Rods Fishing Charters 

My husband and I have traveled everywhere and always schedule a charter every place we go and by far this was the best charter ever!!! Todd was awesome he was fun, kind, professional and just a real pleasure to spend our day with… he took us to so many different places to fish and we had a great experience with the variety of fish we caught!! Very attentive either keeping us engaged and bait on hand! We actually got to see dolphins, manatees and an air show… it was so fun we are booking again in September. Todd is very knowledgeable and knows exactly where to go to catch a variety of fish and also a great guide about St.Augustine. Thanks again for an amazing time!

Todd was such an enjoyable captain, and made our trip so enjoyable! He did everything he could to help us catch fish, and it paid off! We caught a shark, along with a bunch of other fish. It was seriously such an enjoyable trip, and we will definitely be back! We would pick him to book with every time!

My husband and I and our 13-yr old daughter had a great time fishing with Captain Todd today. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - it made it easy for us three non-fishing people to catch multiple fish each. We caught sheepshead, bluefish & pinfish. Nothing big enough to take home to eat, but it was so much fun! We also saw several dolphins, osprey, cormorants, pelicans, etc. while out exploring the creeks and intercoastal. We were able to come in half way through for a bathroom break, so no worries about being out all day. Nice size boat, super clean, nice equipment, live shrimp that he’ll bait for you if you’re squeamish. My daughter had as much fun baiting the hooks as she did casting and catching. It’s a beautiful area and such a great way to spend a day. 5 stars all around. Highly recommend!

If your reading this and debating booking with Todd, just stop and book it! He is your guy. We booked the 6 hour inshore and it was 2 adults and our 7 year old son who loves to fish! We were hosting family for Christmas from STL Missouri. We caught at least 7 sharks, 9 stingrays, 30 speckled trout, 2 black drum, 3 sea bass, and a robin fish. As a mom and parent I was worried about taking the longest trip for a few reasons. 1.) sea/motion sickness. I did pre-med with zofran but did fine. 2.) bathroom breaks, we did take a bathroom break at the same marina we ported at. They also have some light snacks and drinks you can purchase. So that was nice. 3.) kids getting bored. My daughter ended up not going because I’m not sure she could have lasted 6 hrs. I wanted to include that you do go back half way or can go back to port at any time. I wish I would have had my daughter come and then had someone come pick her up if she got bored. I just did not realize that was an option. I thought we would be in the boat for 6 hours and not get off. I know I can’t ever explain in words how amazing this trip was. It was a literal dream, I am not a big outdoorsy girl but this was the most fun I’ve had in a while. We even saw dolphins and there is something so magically about seeing them in their natural habitat. This trip was worth every penny and would absolutely do it again! I have absolutely nothing bad to say and can not wait to come back next year!! Thanks again Todd for memories we will never forget and cherish for our lifetime!

From booking to the day of our trip, Todd was extremely helpful and responsive. We brought our 14 year old son and his best friend and we had a great time! Todd was friendly, knowledgeable, and worked really hard to make sure the boys caught some “keepers.” We would highly recommend him and will definitely book with him again in the future!

My two adult daugjters and I had a wonderful outing with Todd. He is so kind, and knowledgable, and happy to teach people his skills. We caught a once in a lifetime redfish and other fish. I could tell he really wanted us to have a great experience. The estuary through St. Augustine is also just a beautiful place to be, for both its nature and its history.

Todd did a great job of communicating prior to our trip and was an incredible host. he took great care in making sure that we all caught fish… and did we ever catch fish! Cant say enough good things. We caught so many varieties.. A HUGE Red Fish, trout, flounder and SHARKS! It was a great day. We’ve done charters before but this was by far our best experience. Highly recommend Todd and the 6 hour trip was the perfect amount of time. Todd fileted the fish for us. Cant wait to try them!

Short trips can be tough with tides. Captain Todd tried as many locations as possible. We offshore and inshore fish in NC and he was so great with our 12 and 6 year old. We just wanted to have a fun afternoon. He had more than enough live bait and dead for chum. We will definitely fish with him if we ever come back.

Todd was a very friendly and knowledgeable captain. I asked to catch some different fish than what he had planned and he made sure to try to make that happen. It was a really fun day on the water! I was hoping to catch more fish but thats fishing! Still ended up with about 8 catches and 2 different species that were not expected!

Todd was an outstanding charter captain and put us on redfish, trout, and flounder throughout the trip. He was knowledgeable, professional, and worked hard to keep us on the fish. We had a great time and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a successful and enjoyable fishing charter.
