The Isle of Palms is placed between two excellent regions for fishing and observing nature – the Atlantic Ocean and Gray Bay. These waters are some of the most biodiverse ones you can find in South Carolina and on the eastern coast of the US. Barrier Island Fishing Charters is poised to put you on the hottest bite and to show you the gorgeous nature that are the waters of the Isle of Palms!

Climb aboard their 24 foot Kenner bay boat, capable of holding up to 6 anglers fishing at the same time in comfort. She’s powered by a single Yamaha engine with 250 HP. There’s a livewell on board to ensure your bait stays spry and lively. A wireless trolling motor is available as well, so you don’t spook the fish and have the best chance of getting that dream catch.

Your guide and instructor on this journey will be Captain Shane Ziegler. You’ll be in very good hands with him, as he has over two decades of guiding fishing charters and he’s keen to both put you on the bite and to show you the natural wonders of the area. You can expect to target a variety of exciting and beautiful fish that inhabit this area, such as Redfish, Black Drum, Flounders, Ladyfish, Sharks, Sheepsheads, Spotted Seatrouts, and others.

The charter will provide you will all necessary equipment. First-timers and inexperienced anglers are more than welcome as Capt. Shane loves instructing and instilling a love of all things fishing into people. Clients can keep their catch, but Barrier Island Fishing Charters encourages customers to release their catch. The crew will clean and fillet your catch free of charge if you decide to keep it.

Captain Shane Ziegler has been guiding customers on excellent fishing trips for two decades now. He loves to provide his clients with the get-away from civilization and to show them the pristine beauty of the surrounding nature. Every trip with him isn't just full of fishing fun, but education as well, as he loves teaching his customers something new about the great outdoors, every day. Working with children is one of his favorite things and he loves involving young anglers in every aspect of a fishing trip, hopefully igniting their love for fishing.
