Hammerhead Hunters Charter Fishing and Captain Jamie Thomas has over 30 years fishing the Forgotten Coast and invites you to experience the marine life in Florida from his boat. Whether you’re a beginner or avid angler, you’ll certainly have a great time on the water.
You’ll begin your trip on a restored 30’ Century center console that can sit up to 6 guests. It’s powered by a twin 300 HP Yamaha engine and has full onboard navigation electronics. It features an ice-box and is equipped with snorkeling equipment and a livewell. There will be a first mate on the boat to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
You’ll go fishing inshore and offshore, visiting reefs, wrecks, and flats along the way. Captain Jamie uses both light and heavy tackle and he applies different techniques, such as bottom fishing, trolling, deep-sea fishing, spinning, and drift fishing. Some of the species you’ll target are Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and Flounder. You can keep every fish you catch, but fish cleaning is not included. Kids are more than welcome to the boat, so be free to bring them as well.
The captain will cover you for all the fishing gear, as well as snacks, drinks, and even licenses.

Just a great fishing trip all-around. Really enjoyed this family!
Rough day on the water not from captain or crew waves and wind was bad but we still managed to get our limit on snapper which included 6 BIG reds would recommend this crew/trip any time the conditions are good
We arrived at the marina and the weather was very questionable and I figured our trip was likely not gonna happen. Capt Jamie decided probably against his better judgement knowing that we really wanted to fish, we would try it! We went out and it cleared up and were able to make a full day of it and he put us on the fish! All around great crew that made it a great and memorable trip for 4 of our that had never been offshore fishing!

This fishing trip was an amazing experience. Really enjoyed our captain Jamie & DJ (Justin). If I ever come back to do a fishing trip again I would definitely ask to have them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know who is coming to the area for a fishing trip.

I would highly recommend Capt. Jamie and our mate for the day, Sutt. It was a little choppy out but, if anything, the fishing was too good! Me, my son, and my nephew booked an 8 hour trip for the 1st day of red snapper season and almost from the minute the captain stopped the boat, we were on the fish. Due to my son getting seasick and the fact that me and my nephew were just too tired to catch any more fish, we had to call the trip about halfway through the day. If you want to fish offshore from Carrabelle, there is no better trip than with Captain Jamie aboard the Hammerhead Hunter. He even provided us a very nice place to stay for a very reasonable price at his lodge.
