With Explorer Fishing Charters, the prolific waters of Sarasota will be all yours. Enjoy the thrill of catching the most exciting monsters of the deep this area has to offer.

Explore the angling opportunities within 9 miles from shore and get your hands on Kingfish, Permit, Barracuda, Red and Gag Grouper, African Pompano, Tripletail, Hogfish, and who knows what else?

All you have to do is book a trip and hop on board a 28' Contender boat. This spacious vessel can accommodate up to 6 anglers to fish in comfort and style.

The boat can cruise at a hair-raising speed of 60 knots thanks to its twin 250 HP Yamaha engines. Its top-notch GPS and fishfinder will build up a clear image of where the fish are hiding and a selection of quality equipment will help you make a great catch possible.

All trips come inclusive with the use of Crowder rods, Penn and Shimano reels, live bait, and lures. Once you return to the shore, all keeper fish will be cleaned for you. Just bring your own food and drinks and enjoy your trip!

Great Time & Captain!
4 Hour Trip (AM) on March 25, 20261 adult
Captain worked hard to find fish. He was very accomodating, knowledgeable, and ended up up landing two huge king fish.

Half Day Trip with Captain Ron
4 Hour Trip (AM) on August 3, 20233 adults
Captain Ron was terrific. His boat had twin 250s so we got offshore quickly and maximized fishing time. It started a bit windy in the morning and yet the ride was smooth. We trolled which got barracuda and tuna and then when the wind died down switched to live bait. He taught both my kids how to catch live bait on the way out which was and added bonus fishing trip. More tuna, barracuda and some added excitement from some shark activity and massive sea turtles. After all of that, we get back and he shows us how to harvest some incredible tuna filets, trims them to sushi grade looking meat and sends us home with fresh fish and great cooking tips. Best four hours of fishing, hands down.
Reported catch:
Great Barracuda
Red Grouper
Amberjack

4 Hour Trip (AM) on January 30, 20244 adults
Capt. Ron took 4 of us out the day after high winds and cloudy water. He went 10 miles beyond his normal travel to find a reef in clear water. From the drop of the first line and for 2 continuous hours after it was non stop pulling fish up. (no joke). The fishing was so good we paid for an extra hour just to continue. He is the real deal if you want to catch fish.
