SPecies like Great Barracuda, Blacktip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Permit, Cobia, Redfish, Snook, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, and more can be found in these waters if conditions are right. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll find yourself aboard a 28' Cobia center console with room for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Dan has rods and reels for you. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

If you are thinking about booking a charter in S.W. Florida, look no further! Meeting Capt. Dan is like running into an old friend, great guy! Boarding his boat, it is quite obvious, this man takes great pride in his ride, spotless and everything in order and ready to go. We booked a party of five grouper trip and we were hooked up before all lines were in the water! We will definitely be seeing Cape. Dan again! The only down side of the trip was, with the non-stop action, none of us got to enjoy the Jersey Mike's... Have a big breakfast before you go! Thanks again Dan!

My wife and I had an amazing trip! Captain Dan and his wife Pam were so kind and thiughtful. Dan knew exactly where to go to find the fish we were after. We booked the 6 hour day and im telling you my very first cast i caught a grouper. we took home 12 snappers that Dan and his wife expertly filleted for us. They also have a clean restroom on board which was a huge plus. We did not catch any grouper big enough to keep but im not exagerating when i say my wife and i caught at least 10 grouper each. plus countless snappers. For the entire time we were fishing our bait had fish after it. i dont know when we will be back to Marco Island but there is no question who i would book with next time we come out here!

We had an amazing fishing trip today with Captain Dan! 🎣 It was such a great experience and a real adventure for our whole family. We caught plenty of fish, saw dolphins, and even had sea turtles swimming around the boat — truly unforgettable! Captain Dan took care of everything, was incredibly friendly, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. He even recommended a nearby restaurant where they prepared our fresh catch, which made the day even more special. We are beyond happy with this trip and highly recommend Captain Dan and his wife to anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing experience!

We had an absolutely perfect day on the water! The captain’s communication was top-notch from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free. The boat was in great shape and the equipment was excellent. Most importantly, it made my teenage son’s first offshore fishing experience one he’ll never forget. We were reeling in fish one after another, and the time just flew by. And not to mention the dolphin and sea turtle sightings, too! Truly an unforgettable day. Highly recommend! 🎣
