Operating since the 1980s, Lake Toho Guides is Orlando's largest and oldest continuously-operated fishing guide service. Capt. Steve and his experienced guides have been featured on countless fishing TV shows and in Bass Magazines 11 times, as well as on ESPN, ABC Sports, CBS Sports, and FLW Outdoors.
With Lake Toho Guides, you'll be fishing aboard modern bass boats powered by 250hp Mercury engines, equipped with the latest fishing and safety gear. All fishing gear and lures are provided, but you're welcome to purchase wild shiners, the most effective bait for trophy bass.
For groups of 4 or more, we only offer live bait trips due to the risk of multiple people casting artificial lures at the same time. If you'd prefer to fish with artificial lures, please book a trip with 3 or fewer people. For larger groups, we also have pontoons available, which can be found on FishingBooker.

Our family had the most amazing experience fishing with Captain Steve! This was the very first time my husband, our child, and I had ever been fishing in Florida, and Captain Steve made it an unforgettable adventure. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, making us feel comfortable from the moment we stepped on the boat. Thanks to his expertise, we caught so many fish and had an absolute blast! He took the time to teach us, celebrate every catch, and made sure our son had an experience he’ll remember for years to come. If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly fishing charter with a captain who truly cares about his guests, we can’t recommend Captain Steve enough. Great guide!!!! Family fishing trip was a success!!! Knowledge and equipment to find the fish and make sure we caught them!!! When heat caused the fish to go deeper he still knew where to find them! He was prompt with boat in the water ready to leave early! Professional and quick to bait and release hooks. Made everything about us enjoying our day even down to taking the pics of our catches and sending them after the trip. It was wonderful to disconnect and not try to juggle our phones to have those memories and that he thought about all the little details! Live bait was optional and called the day before to ask if we wanted it and it was in the boat ready to go. We will def be booking again soon! So much fun

We had an amazing experience fishing on Lake Toho with Galen as our guide! Even though the wind and weather unexpectedly took a turn, he never let it affect the energy of the trip. He stayed positive, adjusted our approach, and still made sure we had a great time out on the water. One of us was a beginner, we truly appreciated how patient and encouraging he was. He took the time to explain techniques clearly and made us feel comfortable and confident. He was just as understanding and accommodating with our whole group, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Took a half day trip with Capt. Steve on Lake Toho! If you're looking for the man with decades of experience who does his homework then go with this guy!! Had a great day and caught lots of quality fish. The lake is beautiful and had loads of fun. Great conversation and lots of hook sets. Met in the morning right on time, boat ready to go, fishing in 5 minutes. Fish-On shortly after that!!! Can't ask for any better. I highly recommend getting a trip booked ASAP. Captain Shawn was a wonderful guide. He even risked his own body when he had to dive across the boat when our third pole got pulled into the water by a nice bass. We lost focus on that one for a minute and as soon as he heard it going over he sprung into action and miraculously was able to grab the rod as it started to sink into the water. Im sure he came away with some bruised ribs and a sore knee but we got the bass on the boat! We would definitely recommend Captain Shawn if you’re looking for a fun time out on the water.

Captain Steve grew up in Indiana and had a love of all things outdoors from a young age. He entered his first tournament at the age of 9. He continued competitive tournament fishing in his hometown lakes and ranked nationally in the BFL All American. He then progressed and moved on to the Everstart and the FLW Series divisions. Always wanting to share his love of fishing, nature, and wildlife with others, he pursued a career as a licensed captain and is now certified through the U.S. Coast Guard and also carries a Sea Tow endorsement. Captain Steve has continued his career as a full-time fishing captain. In his free time, he can still be found on the water with his sons and daughter enjoying the great outdoors. Captain Brent has been blessed to have fished in various Bass fishing clubs, fishing tournaments, and charity events over the past 27 years, helping him and gaining guide experience. Now a full-time fishing guide, he enjoyed fishing with his clients!
