Nathan Mountain Outdoors 

I booked a trip for me and my daughter with captain Nathan for a guided trip on Douglas Lake. We both had a great time fishing and Nathan was great coaching my daughter with tips and techniques fishing a plastic worm which she hadn’t had experience fishing. During the trip we battled the wind most of the day but Nathan managed to help us put fish in the boat. We caught a variety of species throughout the day and my daughter caught her personal best big fish which she was totally excited about. Would highly recommend booking a trip with Nathan Mountain. He’s very personable, a wealth of knowledge with fishing and wonderful to spend time with on the water. He also supplied all the equipment and tackle which makes it even easier to enjoy fishing without the all hassle. Thank you Nathan Mountain for a great fishing trip!

We had an awesome fishing morning on Douglas Lake with Captain Nate! It was a real treat to be able to fish in the Tennessee River system. We caught many fish (small & large mouth bass and catfish) thanks to his expertise. He brought us to the fish and expertly set us up without blinking an eye and did it all while having great conversation. A true professional and great guy! My wife and I came to Tennessee for our 20th wedding anniversary to enjoy the usual tourist attractions, but we also decided to spend a half day on the water doing what we love...fishing. It turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip! Captain Nathan was amazing. We caught 7 bass (4 largemouth and 3 smallmouth), with the biggest weighing just over 4 lbs. Back home, we’re used to bottom or bobber fishing, but Nathan patiently walked us through different techniques that work best on Douglas Lake. All we had to do was follow his clear instructions, and they worked! Before the trip, he communicated often to make sure we were prepared for the weather and to understand our fishing preferences. He built a plan tailored to our experience level, blending familiar methods with new ones to help us learn and have fun. On top of being a great guide, Nathan is just an all-around great guy. Fished a half day charter with Captain Nathan. My buddy was not an experienced fisherman, and was not familiar with a spinning reel, but Captain Nathan had him casting like a pro within minutes. And of course, my buddy was catching all the fish in short order. I was happy about that! I did catch up in the end. Nathan gave us several options of style of fishing, from top water lures, to subsurface lures to live bait depending on the time of day and conditions. I’m lifelong fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed the day on the water with Captain Nathan. Go fish with him!

It was not the best time to go fishing. The water is down quite quite a bit. It was a day before a tournament and a lot of about traffic and there were two completely different fish people in the boat myself who has been Fishinng his entire life and someone who has never fished before. You’re doing so you still were able to catch some good fish and some good number so the captain is very knowledgable nice guy and it was a beautiful location.

The water was really warm so the fish were moving slow. The fishing guide got us on the fish early. It was fun for us even if we didnt catch a bunch of fish. A slow day fishing is better than a good day at work. The guide was great and i would definitely fish with him again.

We had a great time. Nathan is a fantastic guide. We will definitely book with him again!!

Went on a morning trip with Captain Nathan and he was a pleasure to be with. Fishing can be tough in the heat of the summer but he still got us some nice fish. Hope to visit Tennessee again and I will be going out with Nathan outdoors again.

Great fishing experience with Nathan. He was professional and courteous to both my son and I. I appreciate the tips he gave us and the help from catching large and small mouth along with a catfish. Great area we were in too. Thanks again Nathan!

Caotain Nathan got us on plenty of large bass even with starting temps of 42 degrees professional, knowledgable and just good people turned two of our never before fishrrman into want to be diehard fisherman HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED 10 Stars
