Nathan Mountain Outdoors
Nathan Mountain outdoors specializes in getting groups on big Bass in the lakes nestled around the Great Smoky Mountains. Battle fish that really put the 'large' in Largemouth in one of the most scenic fisheries in the country!
You will be fishing from a 19' Tracker Grizzly jon boat. This hardy vessel is perfect for exploring the lake's shallow fringes in search of Bass. She is also at home in the deepest reaches of the lake, where her GPS and fishfinder make tracking down the best spots a breeze.
Captain Nathan Mountain has been running charters for over 15 years and also competes in tournaments around the state and beyond. He knows these waters like the back of his hand, and will always go the extra mile in search of that trophy Bass.
The Largemouth bite is best from spring through fall but even in the depths of winter, you can find a few Bass lurking in the lake. There's always something to fish for in Douglas Lake!
All Nathan Mountain Outdoors trips come with quality tackle, lures, and great fun. Just bring your food, drinks, and the desire to catch some great fish. Even if you're running short, Capt. Nathan has enough passion and enthusiasm to share!

My son and I had a fantastic time on the lake with Nathan. He was ready to go at the boat ramp early with the perfect boat for the trip and knew exactly where to go on the lake to put us on the fish. We caught my son’s personal best crappie, and I caught I very cool flathead catfish, a species I had never caught before, in addition to smallmouth and largemouth bass. At one point we tripled up! The lake is alive and Nathan made it happen for us,

Thanks Aaron!
I booked a trip for me and my daughter with captain Nathan for a guided trip on Douglas Lake. We both had a great time fishing and Nathan was great coaching my daughter with tips and techniques fishing a plastic worm which she hadn’t had experience fishing. During the trip we battled the wind most of the day but Nathan managed to help us put fish in the boat. We caught a variety of species throughout the day and my daughter caught her personal best big fish which she was totally excited about. Would highly recommend booking a trip with Nathan Mountain. He’s very personable, a wealth of knowledge with fishing and wonderful to spend time with on the water. He also supplied all the equipment and tackle which makes it even easier to enjoy fishing without the all hassle. Thank you Nathan Mountain for a great fishing trip!
Captain Nathan took my two young sons out on Douglas Lake, and right away we were reeling in smallmouth and largemouth bass. He knew all the best spots and took the time to teach my boys about different lures and the proper techniques for working them. They learned a ton and had an absolute blast. We’ll definitely be booking with Captain Nathan again next time we’re in the Smoky Mountains!

Thanks Bill!
my wife and i had a great time with captain nathan mountain on douglas lake. he had us on fish right away and the action kept up all morning. we caught largemouth and smallmouth bass along with some catfish. he was very knowledgable and helped us pinpoint the right presentation to get the most bites! thank you nathan for an excellent trip!

We had an awesome fishing morning on Douglas Lake with Captain Nate! It was a real treat to be able to fish in the Tennessee River system. We caught many fish (small & large mouth bass and catfish) thanks to his expertise. He brought us to the fish and expertly set us up without blinking an eye and did it all while having great conversation. A true professional and great guy! It was a truly amazing highlight of our vacation! We enjoyed every bit of it! Thanks Captain Nate!

Many thanks Lisa!
