If you're here to make the most of fishing in Sevierville and throughout the knoxville area look no further than Big Ridge River Guides. Having logged many hours on these rivers Captain Ridge knows them forwards and back. My goal as a guide is to not only make sure you have a great time on the water but also to equip you with the knowledge and skills to have success on your own on the water.
Captain Ridge specializes in catching Smallmouth Bass on light tackle on the beautiful rivers here in East TN. Fishing on these trips is strictly for sport, and all the smallmouth you catch will be released. TIME AND LOCATION WILL BE PROVIDED DAY BEFORE TRIP IS SCHEDULED.
Capt. Ridge will bring you aboard a 20ft Jet boat with room for 3 passengers or a upriverboatworks guide raft fit for 2 clients for our longer float trips.Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group which can be purchased online, walmart or bass pro shops. The Captain will discuss methods of payment with you. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
Trips with Big Ridge River Guides are kid-friendly. There will be some drinks and light snacks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Dogs are also aloud in the boat as well! Feel free to bring sunscreen as long as it is not spray on.

we had the best time with captain ridge - we caught bass on the first cast and the last! ridge was super knowledgeable and patient and we had a great time on his home river. we highly recommend ridge if you’re looking for something fun and outdoorsy to do in the pigeon forge area.
The first guided trip my wife and I have ever taken. Fantastic experience right from the beginning. Booked with Ridge for our anniversary, absolutely the best time on the water. Fishing almost 40 years and I learned new techniques and new favorite baits. Fish from the little ones fought like monsters to the big ones that tried to pull the boat. Ridgeline a Fantastic job putting me on a dream fish. 18 inch smallmouth, best fight with a fish I've ever experienced. Definitely will book again, maybe a chilly spring morning. Give Ridge a chance, if they're biting he'll find them for you to try and catch. Yes, I missed quite a few bites til I got the hang of them. Thank you so much for a great day on the water.

Ridge got us on the fish right away. he had good gear and continuously switched things up to find the hot bait. he kept us in the strike zone with trolling motor and boat effortlessly but we still had to make the cast which we love. coached my 9year old son up on reading the water and making the best cast. the guy is a pro and equally important cool guy to BS with for a half day. highly recommend you wond be let down.

While we were visiting the area for Spring Break we decided to book a river fishing trip. Our first one ever and it completely exceeded our expectations. Captain Ridge was the best! He is very knowledgeable and gave us great tips for catching fish. We caught 14 fish!! We had great conversation while fishing on the river. He was very good with communicating with us about trip details. Thank you for a great experience.🎣

Ridge is a great guide, he knows the river and where to catch fish. He has a new custom jet boat...extra wide. Very stable to move around on the boat....has all the equipment, just show up and have fun.

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
What the listing policies are
Pickup agreed upon reservation
Transfer to/from departure site may be available and included in price depending on your location and distance from the dock.
How you can pay
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
