Panhandle Fishing Charters invites you aboard their skiff for a daytime or nighttime bowfishing, Flounder gigging, and dock-light trips. Whichever adventure you decide to go for, rest assured that you will be fishing in a family-friendly atmosphere and create memories that will last a lifetime.
You will be stalking fish aboard a 20' Carolina Skiff, which was fully renovated in 2017. It really lights up the night, complete with six 200-WATT LED lights, a 114 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engine, and a high-powered trolling motor for a quiet ride. The crew calls this seaworthy skiff one-of-a-kind – not without a reason!
Panhandle Fishing Charters is one of the few companies in Destin, the 'World's Luckiest Fishing Village,' that offers nighttime bowfishing and Flounder gigging trips in the Choctawhatchee Bay and surrounding waters.
There is also a trip for those of you who don't feel like hunting at night. You will be able to try your hand at bowfishing during the daytime. These trips run in the middle of the day when the sun is at its peak and the emerald waters are infinitely clear. You will be hunting for Rays, Spadefish, Mullet, Sheepshead, and Black Drum.
Finally, Panhandle Fishing Charters can accommodate anglers who want to fly fish or spin for Reds, Trout, and other species. The opportunities abound!
All gear will be provided for the trip; you are also welcome to bring your own equipment if you wish. Younger anglers are welcome to join in the adventure if they are able to draw the bow back themselves (it is set at 32#) and release without any help.

NIGHT TIME BOW FISHING - 3 HR on March 14, 2026 • 5 adults • 1 childMy 15 year old had no experience with a compound bow and got 4 stingrays, one was huge!! The experienced bow hunters got 2 and zero. The fish were harder to hit so we didnt get any. Myself and the 7 year old didn’t get to participate and i didnt read that it was a compound bow until after i paid, thought it would be a crossbow. So definitely dont choose this if you cant pull back a 30# bow unassisted.

The guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident—even if it was our first time. The trip was exciting from start to finish. We ended up catching a couple of fish and even landed a couple stingrays, which made for a really memorable outing. The boat was well-equipped and everything was smooth and safe. Highly recommend this trip if you’re looking for something fun and different on the water. We’ll definitely be back!

Day Time Bow Fishing - 4 HR on June 9, 2026 • 6 adultsSays will hold 6 people but when 6 grown men got there it was a small boat. Every fish except one was out of season. Captain was knowledgeable about area. Trip would be better with two grown ups and some young tweens.
