Spend the day with Code Blue Fishing Charters and find out what the fishing in Fort Walton Beach is all about!
These waters are known for Amberjack, Bonito, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Red Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, and more – with any luck, you’ll find out for yourself! For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Children are welcome, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 31’ Cape Horn center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
