Destin Expeditions – 22' Inshore/Nearshore 

Hoping to cast a line in Shalimar? Then Destin Expeditions has a trip with your name on it! With Captain Cameron at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Almaco Jack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Pompano, Redfish, Gray Triggerfish, Red Snapper, and who knows what else!

You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Cameron can also show you kite fishing.

Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 22’ Twin Vee center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

It’s always wise to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
