Captain Tony Johnson has over 20 years of experience and he'll use that knowledge to put you on top of some of the biggest trophies of the Western Atlantic that are biting year-round in the area.
He welcomes anglers of all experience levels on his 31' GF Twinvee. Powered by two 300 HP Suzuki outboard engines, it can cruise comfortably at 35 knots and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 knots. Captain Tony took command of his new boat in March 2021, she is a beauty that's equipped with two Simrad Evo 3 screens to map the ocean floor together with a Simrad Halo radar to find the fish! Capable of carrying up to 6 passengers in full comfort, it comes with a saltwater shower, radio, ice chest, outriggers, and a livewell.
With Gulf Stream only an hour away, you'll have the unique opportunity to land some of the heavy-weights without spending too much time traveling to the fishing grounds. Captain Tony will tailor the trip according to your fishing goals, and the stars of your hunt might be Snook, Mutton Snapper, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and whatever else your heart desires.
Hooking Up Fishing Charters will take you up to 35 miles from the coast and provide you with the best professional Daiwa, Penn, and Shimano fishing gear. You won't have to think about the license, water, bait, or lures - everything's included in the charter. You can also assist the captain in catching the most appealing live bait at reefs.
A first mate will be present on some trips and 20% gratuity is expected in those situations. Children are more than welcome to enjoy the day onboard, however, to go offshore they must be 8 years or older.

Half Day Trip – Nearshore on August 26, 2018 • 3 adultsWhen I booked this charter, I made it clear that we were three peeps looking for some fun times fishing with like-minded folk. Hailing from Lake of the Woods, MN, we are used to fresh water fights (i.e. walleye, pike, musky). This was on a completely different level! Captain Tony and his first mate (also a Captain) did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped on the boat to the last one out, we were having a blast! As a rather lively bunch, we were jamming to some amazing tunes...even the Capt was heard singing along. Overall, the day was great! Caught some kings and a shark. Learned a lot about the sport too (including just how tired your arm gets reeling in a doozy). It is without reservation that I recommend Capt Tony. I cannot wait to return for more fun!

Half Day Trip – Nearshore on August 17, 2018 • 4 adultsHad a great day out with Tony and his 1st mate Mick, these guys knew what they were doing and had us reeling in a monster baracuda within 3 minutes of starting to fish. Which was followed up with a bunch more. The captain and his boat were perfect for the trip we went on and i would easily recommend it to friends and do it myself again!

3/4 Day Trip – Nearshore on June 12, 2018 • 5 adultsThis fishing charter was different than expected, but turned out to be a great time! Most fishing charters I have been on before everyone would fish at the same time and catch the same stuff and then we’d move. This trip was different because you take turns reeling in the different catches that the captain puts you on. Overall, this was a fun trip and I’d recommend it if you don’t mind that everyone isn’t fishing at the same time!

When I booked this charter, I made it clear that we were three peeps looking for some fun times fishing with like-minded folk. At Hooking Up we welcome anglers of all experience levels, for all types of fishing. Based out of Jupiter, FL, your trip will be an adventure in our brand new 31 ft Center Console GF Classic Twin Vee. Powered by two 300 HP Suzuki outboard engines, the ride is a dream and able to fly across the waves with ease and comfort, she cruises at speeds of over 35 knots. Equipped with the latest Simrad electronics and Halo radar to find the fish and keep you safe. Licenced to carry up to 6 passengers in full comfort.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
