Off The Hook Charters is here to help you experience the stunning waters of Port St. Joe.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), and who knows what else!
On the day of your trip you're likely to bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Your vessel for the day is a 30' Sportfishing that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

10 Hour Trip — Bottom Fishing on September 20, 2022 • 5 adultsCaptain Cory was fantastic. We were originally going on a Tuesday, the winds/seas would have been tough on us. As it turned out we were able to go on Wednesday instead. He recommended we not go even if we couldn’t reschedule because he wanted us to be able to fish effectively and have a good time…most Captains would have taken our money regardless. As for the fishing, he put us on the fish and we were able to catch all the various species. He asked us particularly what kind of species we would like. Even while we were out on water he was willing to change things up with no problems. Deck hand Mike was also superb…he kept us baited up and helpful with anything we asked. I would highly recommend

A BIG winner! We have finally found the skipper and rig we have been looking for! Capt Hoffman has a fine attitude, great sense of humor, and loads of knowledge. He put us on the exact fish we were looking for and then some! His deck hand was an ace, to boot! His large center console was roomy and comfortable and fast. Got us on the spots, fast!
