Kayak Fishing – Port St. Joe
A day out on the water of the Emerald Coast is more fun when you spend it on a kayak. Try something different on your next vacations in Port St. Joe and Pensacola Beach. Let your guide Dave show you how exciting fishing from a kayak can be.
Your kayak will be a 13’ fishing machine that you will paddle through the inshore waters. If paddling is not easy for you, Dave will provide you with a motor-driven kayak. Kids and younger anglers under 10 years will be able to fish with their parent from a “tandem” kayak. All the boats are made by Native Watercraft, Jackson Kayak, and Old Town.
You don’t have to be an experienced angler to fully enjoy the adventure. Even if you have never held a fishing rod in your hand, there is a trip for you. It’s also possible to fish with live bait – just let Dave know in advance. As well as that, he will be able to have a snorkeling equipment onboard for anyone who wants to take a dip in these beautiful waters.
Kayak Fishing with Dave specializes in targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and other species. Your fishing techniques for the day will vary from light tackle spinning to fly fishing – just bring your own “lucky” fly rod with you.
All packages include the use of conventional rods, reels, tackle, and lures. The philosophy of the trips is having a great experience rather than filling the cooler. However, everything you decide to keep will be cleaned at the end of the trip.
