If you are after some serious fishing fun on your next vacation in Mauritius, give Tora Tora Charters a try. Join them at Le More Anglers Club in the south west of the island and venture out to land your very own fish.

This family-owned company has been putting their clients on top of the hottest bite for over half a century now. They operate various vessels, one of which – the beautiful 'Tora Tora 2' - will be your boat for the day.

The Tora Tora 2 is a luxurious 50' fishing machine with top-notch electronics and all the necessary amenities for game fishing. She can accommodate up to 18 passengers of all skill levels plus the crew.

Get your hands on Blue Marlin by live baiting and trolling artificial lures. Go for Tuna, Sharks, and colorful Mahi Mahi. The opportunities aboard the Tora Tora 2 are limitless. All you have to do is show up!

Your trip will include the use of quality rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and all the necessary fishing licenses. You can always feel free to bring your own drinks and food with you. If you wish, a lunch pack could be prepared for you at an extra cost – just let the crew know 24 hours before the trip.

Please note, that catch-and-release is encouraged.

Unfortunately for the value paid for what equated to around 4 hours of fishing to not catch a single noteable fish even after finding a shoal of bait fish was very disappointing. 

The option to mix up a varied type of game fishing was overlooked and amounted a long boring morning.  

The other boats that remained in the shoal were all successful in catching big fish, sailfish etc.

Rule No1 is stay with the shoal , predator game fish high activity 

When you have a family with young boys on the boat cater for the entertainment value, even if we had switched to fishing for Dorado or something similar, but this wasn't even an option and unfortunately the English was not good so we couldn't even communicate with the crew.

Was hoping to snag a marlin - but out of season.  Still had 2 on briefly so they are clearly around....   Had a great time, caught some nice bonito and wahoo + dolphin fish.  Guys look after you very well and worked hard to try and get a fish.

Full Day Fishing Trip

9 Hour Trip on July 19, 2022 • 2 adults

Very well equipped boat and experienced crew. We booked a trolling/jigging combination trip. The Captain suggested that we started trolling and then move to jigging to coincide with high tide. Around 9.30am we were fortunate to hook a nice blue marlin which was onboard by 10.20am. The captain and crew were extremely helpful during the fight to ensure we landed the fish. The jigging was not great but the captain did his best to try and find fish. The fish were just no playing ball on the day. Great Experience.

Great fishing trip

We were a family of 11 going fishing- first we went to see dolphins- the kids loved it- and then deep-sea-fishing where we caught a 11kg Mahi Mahi. Huge succes
The crew/captain were very helpful and professional
