We did 7 hour morning trip with not so much as a sniff of a bite, that’s fishing of course but the crew didn’t really seem to have any ideas of how to target the fish other than changing the lures every now and then. We just seemed to go round in circles for hours and if there was any method in their actions it would have helped if they had communicated that to us rather than jusy saying “we aren’t finished yet” (until we were!).

The boat itself was excellent and the setup they had was high end rods & reels, a good outrigger setup 9 rods out in total, nice comfy cabin.

Unfortunately with no bites and no feedback from the crew it felt like a very expensive boat trip.

I don’t want to recommend for or against taking this charter, if the fish had been biting I’m sure it would have been a fantastic day and worth the money. It would certainly have been a lot worse on one of the smaller and less comfortable boats so if you are going to fish from this area then you could certainly do a lot worse than the Tora Tora !

Good luck & tight lines
