Mike Sr and Mike Jr were great! This was our first ocean fishing trip as a family and we created some great memories! They were very good at communicating with me about what to expect on the trip and were clearly well versed with kids and families. Even when some of my family got sick, they were able to change the locations to calmer seas to help out and we still caught fish! They were very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and hospitable. The fishing even continued at the dock as they cleaned our catch and offered my kids a pole to try and catch fish with the leftovers. Anyone looking for a family friendly crew that knows their stuff should definitely book this charter!

My boys (8 and 11) and I went with Legacy Charters to get some sharks. We were scheduled for a Wednesday, however Capt. Mike reached out to me advising me of a storm coming in and we weren’t able to go out. Capt. Mike rescheduled us for a Friday with no issues. We met Capt. Mike and Capt. Mike Jr. Upon arrival, they waited no time getting us out in the water (we showed up approximately 10mins early and immediately headed out). We trolled for bait with no luck (that’s why it’s called fishing and not catching). Luckily they had other bait on board and we tried at least 2-3 different spots with no luck for sharks. The last spot we went to we caught 2 small baby sharks and then hooked into a 3 foot shark which one of the boys caught. While we were trying to catch another decent sized shark for my other boy, our time was coming up.. HOWEVER, Capt. Mike made sure we didn’t have anything planned and that he wanted to go over our time so the other boy could catch a shark. A short time later, a second shark took the line and my other boy reeled it in! We were able to keep both sharks and Capt. Mike Jr. filleted and bagged it for us back at the dock. We took it home to have as a nice meal! Legacy Charters are great people and very family oriented. Can’t wait to be back next year to fish with them!! 6 out of 5 stars!

I had booked a family trip (6 person) with legacy charters many months previous to our planned family trip. Mike reached out and answered any questions I had previous to the trip so I felt comfortable I chose the right charter.
We arrived early and the boat was ready to go. Mike and Mike were both great hosts. Answered all of our questions and had great stories to tell. They knew how and where to find fish. Our family of 6 all enjoyed catching fish that day. We had booked a 6 hour trip for the day.
We started out early and were catching fish with the first hour out. We had a great day catching Spanish Mackerel and shark. One item that stood out, we had 3 of our 4 boys catch shark. One did not and our time was up. Mike said let’s go get him a shark and went out a bit longer than our allowed time and this gave the 4th just enough time to catch one. We appreciate the kindness they showed. We had an amazing experience and would love to book again sometime in the future.
The boat was perfect for the 6 of us. We also appreciated the great restaurant recommendations and the fish stand down the road recommendation. Picked up fresh shrimp to add to our catch for the trip home.

We came in town to hang with friends from the area and thought we would book a private fishing charter. For half the day. It was a lot of fun although we didn’t catch much we still had a blast just being on the water!!

This was a awesome trip and experience 10 outta 10! Mike Sr.and Mike Jr. Are awesome people and great guides. Very knowledgeable and passionate about fishing. Awesome boat, very nice restoration. If you want the best trip possible you’ll want to go with Sr. And Jr. They’ll make feel like family and get you on the fish!
