Legacy Charters is a family-owned business, first started by Captain Mike Masiero and his father. Capt. Mike has passed the torch onto his two sons, Capt. Mike Jr. and Capt. Kyle.
Their two boats are The Kraken,” a 28’ Bertram that’s powered by twin 260 HP Ford engines and completely restored in 2022 and new to the fleet The Kraken II the only 39’ Hatteras Yacht in the fleet!
Both boats have full walk-in cabin with a bathroom. Having enough room for no less than 6 anglers, they are great choices if you’re looking to bring the whole family along for the ride.
Little River is unlike any other port out of the Grand Strand. It offers a wide variety of fish species both inshore and offshore, making it perfect for both longer and shorter trips out. No matter if you’re looking to land some delicious bottom feeders or chase after huge sharks, you’ll have a great time of it! Offshore waters are home to a variety of gamefish like Mahi Mahi, and Tuna!
The price of any given trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for the day. Not only that but whatever you catch will be cleaned and bagged after the trip at no extra charge. The crew will work hard to make sure you have a memorable time on the water, and 20% gratuity is very much the standard .

Captain Mike took me and my family of five out for a beautiful three hour morning family fishing trip. We had an amazing time with Mike and his son. It was my boys' first fishing trip on a boat and the crew made sure they caught some fish on our outing. The boat was also clean and comfortable! I highly recommend and we will visit them again for a longer trip the next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

I wish the area had more fish that bite. As for the captain and crew, very attentive and knowledgeable. Boat was very clean and nice!!! Captain Mike is a good choice if you're looking to fish near Myrtle Beach. Great family experience. If you have the slightest motion sickness, take dramamine before the trip.

We loved the experience. Zoe and her Dad stayed on top of keeping our lines baited. It was a first for my kids and it was a really great experience for them. Zoe was super engaged and once we knew she played soccer it was on! Go USA and thank you for the wonderful hospitality. We will be back!

We had a fantastic day on the water with Capt Mike! We caught blue fish and our boys both caught an Atlantic sharpnose shark — unforgetable experience! We’ll book again, for sure, in cooler weather.

We had a great time with 3 adults and 3 kids (7,9 & 10) on the 4-hour trip. We caught some Spanish Mackerels and a Hammerhead Shark! The boys were thrilled! It was a memorable trip that will never be forgotten.
