North Myrtle Beach has a fish with your name on it, so let Reel Obsession help you catch it!

Local species include Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bluefish, Skipjack, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Scamp Grouper, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Blackfin Tuna, and more with any luck. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

You'll step aboard a 37' Hatteras convertible with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Half day fishing
5 Hour Trip (AM) on June 25, 20254 adults1 child

We had an incredible time on our fishing trip thanks to a fantastic captain who truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. From the moment we stepped aboard, he was friendly, outgoing, and especially great with the kids—answering their questions, showing them the ropes, and making the whole day fun and memorable. The boat had a little age on it, but it was well-equipped with everything we needed. There was a bathroom on board (a big plus for families), plenty of shade, and solid fishing gear throughout. One of the highlights was sitting on the top deck as we cruised out to sea—it made for an unforgettable start to the day. We had a moderate catch, but the effort the captain put in to find fish and keep everyone engaged made it more than worthwhile. He was very accommodating and clearly passionate about giving us the best shot at success, even extending the trip to chase better spots. All in all, a great trip with a knowledgeable and genuinely kind captain. Highly recommend, especially for families or anyone looking for a laid-back and enjoyable day on the water.

Deep water day!
8 Hour Trip on April 24, 2025

We went out with Captain Steve in April! The whole day was a blast! The boat is large with loads of seating or sunbathing space! All the rods & bait were provided! The boat has a restroom, kitchen, eating area and a huge sleeping quarter! We may spend the night on the boat next trip! We had everything we needed for a fun day on the water! Can't wait for the next outing!

Great trip!
5 Hour Trip (AM) on June 2, 20255 adults

Captain Steve was great! Caught a lot of fish trolling then we moved out to bottom fish. Caught a number of different species with a few getting kept. The boat was great for our group with the cabin and head. He was very knowledgeable and personable! Would give him better than 5 stars if we could! We will definitely go out with him again when we come down.

This was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had, had the nicest crew! It was great for beginners to experts. Knew right where the best spots were! It wasn’t long before something was on the line. Smooth riding, beautiful views.
