If fishing for Walleye on Lake Erie is what you're planning to do this summer, look no further than D.D. Rod Father Sportfishing. Its owner and operator, Captain Dan Huska, is one of the most enthusiastic charter captains you'll ever meet.

He's fully licensed and insured, with a boat that's equipped with all the necessary gear to make any fishing trip safe and enjoyable. High-tech electronics along with top-notch terminal equipment make for a trip that's not only fun but educational as well.

Speaking of which, his boat is a 30' Tiara vessel that's powered by a twin 260 HP Mercruiser engines. It's the perfect boat for navigating the bountiful waters of Lake Erie, and she's fast enough to have you fishing in no time.

And what a time it is to be fishing on Lake Erie! Also known as the 'Walleye capital of the world,' rest assured that it lives up to this reputation year after year. The Walleye boom is often the talk of the town and there is no end in sight.

Fishing is the primary target, but Lake Erie has many other things to offer. While you're fishing, the sights and sounds of the lake are incredible. A beautiful sunrise will kickstart your day. Mix in some wildlife, the blue water, and some picturesque skylines, and you're left with an unforgettable experience. Of course, don't forget the sight of that big fish in the net and the sound it makes while flopping around in the back of the boat.

Capt. Dan will provide you with all the fishing gear you'll need, and anything you catch will be cleaned and bagged after the trip. The only thing you'll need to bring is a Pennsylvania fishing license with the Lake Erie combo stamp. For your own unforgettable Walleye experience, let the Rod Father show you how to get it done!

Captain Dan and deckhand Jeff were first class!! We were fishing for walleye and we all caught our limit in record time. They were very accommodating and made it a very special experience for our family. They were very personable, educational and had great senses of humor.

Angler's Choice

The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.

I've been a fisherman all of my life. Starting with the Zebco bait casting reel as a toddler, I graduated to bigger and better tools and techniques as I grew older. Trout fishing was my main hobby growing up. But as a young man, I always had my eye on charter fishing and I always knew that someday I would be a charter captain on the Lake Erie. After fishing with my dad in his small boat for many years on the local lakes and rivers, I bought my first boat in 2008 and I started getting a taste of the Lake Erie experience. My second boat didn't come long after that. I fished the big pond every chance that I got. I've been fishing Lake Erie for over 18 years now. I got my credentials in order and I obtained my six-pack charter license in 2015. I'm in my 12th year as a charter captain and I can compete with the best of the longer tenured captains. They say that '10% of the fisherman catch 90% of all the fish'. I put myself in that category. The proof is in the pudding.
