Your guide, Captain Drake Morvant, has over 30 years of experience in the marsh around Lake Pontchartrain. As a full-time guide in South Louisiana, Captain Drake targets Redfish on a daily basis, as well as Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Bass, and Flounder. If you’re new to fishing, your guide will be happy to patiently teach you everything you need to know.
A trip with Captain Drake means you’ll be riding in comfort and using the best gear available. The boat is a 2018 22.5’ Nautic Star Tournament Series bay boat. This modern vessel has 3 cushioned seats in the rear, one large seat up front, and a spacious casting deck, front and back. This is the perfect vessel for pursuing Redfish in the shallows, or safely working the open lakes for Speckled Trout.
No expense is spared on rods and reels and all are kept clean and well maintained. After the adventure, Captain Drake will gladly clean and bag your day’s catch to your preference at no additional cost. Extra ice will be provided as well to keep your filets fresh on your journey home. Kids aged 4 and above are welcome and vests in all sizes are provided. Bottled water is available on board. Bring your own snacks and any drinks you want to keep your energy up. Live bait is an additional $20 per angler.
