Reel Insanity Fishing Charters operates out of Pompano Beach, FL, offering half and full-day adventures going after the area’s endless mix of big, tasty fish. Drop your lines around the reefs to reel in Snappers and Triggerfish or set your sights even higher and go after big game pelagics. Whatever you target, you’re in for a lot of fun and some hard-fought battles in these deep, warm waters.
You’ll be fishing aboard a Saltshaker 30 with Mercury verado motors. She’s no slow coach, that’s for sure! At 30ft long, the boat has enough room for 6 anglers to fish and relax in comfort. She boasts a full array of safety gear to make your trip fun and worry-free. She also has a covered top to keep the hot Florida sun at bay.
The seafloor drops so quickly here that it takes less than half an hour to reach the fishing grounds. Once you get there, what you target is up to you. You’ll be given quality Penn and Shimano tackle to match your target species, so no fish is too big!
Speed out for a few hours on the reef or stay out all day to battle Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and even Sailfish. You can also head out at night, hitting the reef lines under cover of darkness to take on the monster bottom fish that show up when the sun goes down.
Whatever you do on your trip with Reel Insanity Fishing Charters, you can rely on Captain Robert Pujol’s 25 plus years of local guiding experience to make your day special. He provides all rods, reels, tackle, and lures, as well as fishing licenses for everyone onboard. Just bring sunscreen, sunglasses, food and drinks, and plenty of energy for the day ahead. What a great time highly recommend. We started off slow but Rob was persistent and got us on the fish. Very friendly, clean boat, extremely knowledgeable. Thanks again Rob we had a great time.

Captain Rob is an extremely conscientious guide and host. Along with being very knowledgeable, you could tell he truly loved fishing and wanted to ensure we were truly getting the full experience. We had non-stop bite action from the moment we dropped our lines - I believe this was due to his knowledge of the types of fish, water and weather conditions and area. This charter felt really personalized and different from others as there were no helpers and no constant mention/pressure of showing our "appreciation". Instead, Capt. Rob worked his butt off and his time and efforts were clearly invaluable in making our trip such a success. We will be making this an annual event for sure !
