If you’re going to cast a line in Carrabelle, look no further than Gritwater Outfitters USA. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Terry knows them forwards and back.
Species like Black Grouper, Red Grouper, Redfish, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Lane Snapper, Black Seabass, Amberjack, Red Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, King Mackerel, and more can be found in these waters if conditions are right. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your boat for the day is a 25’ Sea Cat catamaran that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Gritwater Outfitters USA and get hooked!
