Great crew! Captain Bobby and (Dorothy)...hahaha....were Awesome! They put us on the fish all day. Got our limits on the entire boat for Halibut and Black Rockfish. . Bonus to hit some Ling Cod, Silver Salmon, Yellow Eye Rockfish. Im a lifelong Alaskan, and been on the water fishing for most of my life here. Been on many "chartered fishing boats" during that time and by far these guys were top notch for the entire experience. Would recommend to everyone!

glad you had a great time!
13 people on board was a bit sceptical at first as they only had the captain and 1 crew member along. 2 hour ride to start fishing as was advertised but once we arrived we were on fish and the deck / crew man had his act together very diligent always there with new bait or the help get catch in. at end of trip he has all the fish cut up and baged i have been on many halibut runs and will say this is at top of list. highly recommend thanks to both for a great experience

glad youbhad a great time!
Captain Tony and deckhand Connor were absolutely amazing!! Our party consisted of 6 adults and 6 kids ages 4-11. They found us the fish and everyone was busy reeling. On our journey from fishing spots we got bonus views of puffins, whale, sea lions, glacier and glacier ice. We were the lucky ones to have such a great captain and deckhand with their knowledge, experience and personalities. Would definitely recommend Saltwater Safari to anyone! Thanks for the wonderful day!

thank you for the review! glad you had a great time!
Cap’n Bobby quickly responded to our questions prior to the trip, usually within a few minutes. He was extremely helpful during our prep phase. On the day of our trip, all gear was ready and in working order and our crew worked diligently to have everything ready before we made our first stop out of the harbor. The captain and crew were friendly, helpful and expertly responsive throughout our trip. Cap’n Bobby put us on fish, too! All the anglers on board limited on halibut and rock fish within a few hours and the crew was quick to respond to any anglers’ needs. I will definitely book again with this charter and crew-absolutely amazing time.

glad you had a great time Brian!
I always get severely seasick, but for the first time ever I didn’t!!!! Sure, I got a bit nauseous but no one on the boat got sick. There were a few moments I had to stop fishing due to the nausea, afraid that I would get sick and a crew member was so kind to take over for me and continue reeling my fish in. The crew was phenomenal. They were super knowledgeable about the the various fish species we were pulling up as well as pointing out the other really cool sea life visible from the boat. Our crew even cleaned and filleted everything for us! I will definitely request the same crew and boat next year!

thanks so much for the review! glad you had a great time with us!!
Growing up, I always had a passion for fishing. Being born and raised in Central Florida, I was always surrounded by some of the best fresh and saltwater fishing that the world had to offer. In 2008 I started working for an elite Alaskan charter outfit, Saltwater Safari Company. Starting as a deckhand on their vessels, I spent 4 seasons on deck followed by 5 seasons operating their vessels, the Legend & Legacy. In 2012 at the age of 22, I obtained my Merchant Mariners credentials as Master of Vessels up to 100 gross tons. When the summer season in Alaska comes to an end, I spend my winters back down in Florida where I guide tours in the Everglades. Also apart of our team is Captain Noah Wamsteker! Caption Noah hails from Mobile Alabama and have been apart of the our company since 2017. Working under Captain Bob predominantly, he had one of the best teachers in the game and learned so much about the fishery and the local knowledge of fishing out of Seward. Fishing is our passion and we would love to take you into our world and show you the beauty of Resurrection Bay and the Gulf of Alaska! FISH ON!
