Fun outing
3 hours - 11:15 AM on September 6, 20264 adults1 child

Family of four with a 6 year old first time boater with special needs. Crew was supportive and great. We caught multiple Spanish mackerel and a small shark and could have caught even more but the young one wanted to move on which was on us. Saw dolphins also which was a treat. Boat big and enough room for us. Recommend for young boaters maybe with first time. We did the 3 year trip but I think a 2 hour would have been better for his fist time. Rest of us really enjoyed the near shore trip and nice weather. Ate our fish that night and had fun trip.

Fish 👍‼️
Shark Trip on August 21, 20262 adults

My buddy and I went in this charter to celebrate my graduation and 18th birthday. It was fantastic from the start! The captain and first mate were awesome. They shared tips, tricks, and were hilarious. We ended up catching several Blue Fish, Spanish Mackerel, several Lemon Sharks, and a Snub Nose. We were able to bring back several to cook thanks to the amazing skill of the first mate! It was absolute fire! Thank you for such a great morning! This was our second charter and we will definitely return!

Great experience for first timers!
4 hours - 11:00 AM on August 31, 20262 adults

We were in Oak Island for a beach vacation and decided to do some offshore fishing. We didn't have any prior experience, but Capt. Adam Steelman and his brother showed us everything we needed to do, and were extremely chill throughout the process. We caught Spanish Mackerel, a hammerhead shark and another type of shark (I forget which type). And were able to bring some home to eat! We would definitely do this again when we come back to Oak Island!!!

Enjoyable trip
3 hours - 11:15 AM on July 24, 20263 adults2 children

Our family (mom, dad and 3 kids) had a great time fishing and being out on the water with Captain Adam and Mate Travis. We were lucky to catch a variety of fish, a couple shark, and one interesting fish we had never seen or heard of before (a Sea Robin). We especially appreciated the high quality of their fishing equipment as well as how quickly and efficiently Travis assisted with baiting our hooks and also removing fish from our lines so we could get them back in the water. We also had an extra special treat getting to see dolphins on our way out and back into the dock. We would highly recommend Seabbatical Charters and we look forward to fishing with them again!! Thank you so much Adam and Travis, for your expertise and hospitality.

Incredible Day
4 hours on June 4, 20262 adults2 children

Captain Adam was the best. I was researching the best charter for my two boys (ages 10 & 12) for their first charter. I was beyond happy and impressed. Captain Adam spent time teaching and showing my boys the how’s and why’s. Plus the experience is something they will remember the rest of their life. As a fellow boat owner, it was clean, extremely well maintained and the bathroom was top notch (my wife was also happy on this trip). The playlist on our ride back had us singing along. We caught the fish we wanted and had the best lunch after. During our roadtrip back home we asked the kids what their favorite part of our week long trip was. The answer = the charter with Captain Adam. Next time we are back at the ocean, we will visit and are already counting down to next summer.
