Great Family Experience

Introduction to fishing on July 30, 2025 • 4 adults • 1 child

Captain John made for a great time for our family of 5’s (3 teenage boys) fishing experience! We rarely fish but wanted to experience a fish excursion while on vacation. Captain John found a great spot for us to catch fish on our hour adventure. He even extended the time for us a bit as we were flexible with departure time. He handled everything for us (even tangled lines) and had great conversation throughout. We even took him up on his recommendation to take the fish straight over to a local restaurant (Mikey’s) to have them cook up the fish for us which was also a great experience. I recommend Captain John and Gulf Coast Charters to anyone!

Caught over 30 fish!

Captain John and Captain Chastity were awesome! Very patient with us learning how to use the poles. He even text and suggested an earlier start time so we could catch more fish. Caught over 30 fish in 2 hours! Highly recommend!

Sooooo many fish!!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience. The guys on the boat were terrific and so helpful. They made sure we had a great time. We caught like 30 plus fish. Sometimes we barely got our line in the water and were already reeling a fish in. These guys know what they are doing.!! Would love to go with them again when we come back to Gulf Shores.

Awesome experience.

Half Day Trip - Inshore (PM) on July 28, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

We went out with Captain Jerry targeting Trout. It was an amazing experience and i will hands down recommend to everyone i know planning a vacation. We caught 41 trout and best of all, the kids had a blast. Captain Jerry was very attentive to keeping the kids entertained and answered all their questions.

I have fished all over the world with many different captains, I have never met a captain that would stay out in the pouring rain with the man and his wife and two young children and let them catch fish for as long as Captain John did. I highly captain John and will definitely be visiting him again soon.
