Freebird Charters is based out of Gulf Shores Alabama. The company is run and operated by Captain John, a professional and experienced guide who knows all the hot spots where the fish are hiding. He has multiple captains running the trips with him. If you are looking for a wonderful day on the water catching several different types of fish, you have chosen the right charter to help you do so.
Enjoy your fishing trip with Freebird Charters aboard a 24’ Blazer Bay center console, which comes powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine. Originally built in 2009, and can comfortably take up to six anglers. It has a maximum cruising speed of 35 knots and is rigged with navigational electronics, including a GPS, a VHF radio, and a fish finder. The vessel is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with a live bait tank and an ice-box to keep the fish fresh during the day.
Freebird Charters can customize a trip to meet any angler’s wishes. From a casual trip with the family for some tasty inshore fish to an expedition of shrimping and watching the dolphins - a light-tackle charter is sure to suit your needs.
You will be targeting White Trout, Whiting , Black Drum, Redfish, Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, King Mackerel, Pompano, Stingrays, Black Tip Sharks, Blue Crabs, Bluefish, and who knows what else!
A trip with Freebird Charters comes inclusive with all the necessary equipment to make a great catch possible. You will be provided with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait, as well as the fishing licenses for you and your group. If you decide to keep the catch, it will be cleaned and filleted for you at the end of the trip, ready for a ride home. You can feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks with you on board the vessel.

Don't Let the Forecast Fool You: Epic Fishing in Oysterbay!
Forget the forecast – Captain Chasity and Alfredo brought the sunshine even when the skies didn't! This duo is phenomenal. We chased white trout across three prime Oysterbay locations, and despite a slightly slow start, their persistence and expertise paid off big time! Every cast felt like an adventure, and they truly know the ins and outs of the bay. For a short fishing trip that delivers big thrills without breaking the bank, look no further. Best part of our trip to Gulf Shores
Capt’s John and Chastity were great. Down to earth, laid back, the types of people that we instantly connected with. Our kids loved them and they made their outing special. It’s been decades since I’ve chartered a boat. I’ve never caught so many fish without once touching a fish or baiting a hook. They treat you like a VIP. Definitely folks we can be friends with. Will be hooking up with them on our next trip back for sure.

Quick Fishing Trip (11AM)
Captain Jerry was excellent
Taking my 8 year old grandson on his first trip was a bit worrysome. But upon meeting Captain Jerry of Freebird changed it all. He was excellent working with my grandson who can be more than a tad shy. Showing him the ropes on how to cast, reel, and even hook while maintaing a paitent and kind persona is a quality that few have. I would highly recommend this charter for anyone with young kids and adults alike.

Quick Fishing Trip (2PM)
Best time ever
Our group of three went out on a 2 hour trip. We caught several fish. Not only did we catch several fish but the captain and co captain taught us so much about the area and fish in the area. After the trip the cleaned our fish for us and we came back to our condo and fixed them. Most definitely will choose them when we return. Hopefully take longer trip next time.

Our group of three went out on a 2 hour trip. We caught several fish. Not only did we catch several fish but the captain and co captain taught us so much about the area and fish in the area.
