Offshore, target Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Pacific Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi and Wahoo. Inshore, chase Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Grouper, Snapper, Jack Crevalle and other powerful coastal species.

Full-day offshore trips give you the range to explore productive fishing grounds including The 26, La Esquina, Los Cráteres, La Caída and La Bolsa. They made sure to get us on sails. Three of our party caught their first sails today. The fishing gear was in very good shape. Boat was orgainized. Very pleased with our experince!

Offshore Full Day Experience on July 17, 2024 • 2 adultsHad an 8 hour trip on La Patrona and did very well for the rainy season. Caught 3 big yellowfin tuna and a sailfish. Captain Geraldo got us on the tuna and then later a sailfish. The mate Adrian never stopped working changing out lures and switching over for different strategies throughout the day. The lunch of barbecue chicken hit the spot and we had the tuna tonight for dinner and it was delicious. Thanks amigos.

Nobody in the fleet caught fish that day, but that's fishing. Still a Pleasant experience, Boat has a large padded center console that is perfect for a nap.

Meet Our Fishing Crew La Patrona is operated by a professional Costa Rican fishing crew with extensive experience on the waters of Costa Rica’s Central Pacific. Captain Adrian has more than 20 years of fishing experience in the waters around Jaco, Herradura, and Los Sueños. He is an offshore fishing specialist and tournament angler who has participated in major fishing tournaments in Costa Rica. His local knowledge and understanding of fishing conditions help him adapt the strategy according to what is happening on the water. Mate Lizandro has been fishing the waters of Costa Rica his entire life. He has experience fishing on tournament sailfish teams in Los Sueños and is skilled in fly fishing and dead bait fishing. Lizandro has caught hundreds of marlin, including several weighing over 500 pounds. His experience handling big fish and attention to detail make him an important part of the crew. Together, Adrian and Lizandro bring local knowledge, tournament experience, technical fishing skills, and a genuine passion for sport fishing to every La Patrona charter.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
