Welcome to Chesapeake Adventures Sportfishing, aboard the Reel Time! Experience an unforgettable adventure with Captain James Batchelor and see why the Chesapeake Bay is one of the top fishing spots on the East Coast.
The Captain’s boat, the Reel Time, is a 40’ J-Allen, powered by a 375 HP Caterpillar diesel engine. It comes stocked with safety equipment, GPS, fishfinder, a private head, and a bed in case you need to rest during a full-day trip. It can fit up to 6 guests comfortably and everyone can enjoy fishing at the same time.
Top-notch St. Croix rods, reels, and tackle are included on each trip to ensure the best quality fishing for all guests. The Captain will provide an icebox to keep your catch nice and fresh. Live bait will be caught along the route and your catch will be cleaned and filleted for you. Capt. James will also take care of your fishing license, so you don’t have to worry about it. Just bring your own food and drinks, as well as a pair of comfortable soft-soled shoes so you can stay light on your feet throughout the trip.
Your voyage will either begin from Breezy Point, MD or Turkey Point Marina in Edgewater. Both locations are only a 30-minute drive from the Washington D.C. Beltway. These are some of the best places to go fishing around the Maryland Chesapeake Bay due to its diversity of fish species. Enjoy targeting various types of fish such as Striped Bass, Perch, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, Black Drum, and many more! Capt. James specializes in light tackle fishing and also offers fly fishing, as long as you bring your own gear. Other techniques include bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging.
Chesapeake Adventures Sportfishing welcomes all levels of fishing experience, from novice to expert anglers. Invite your friends, family, and kids and enjoy a productive day of fishing out on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay!
