Fish On welcomes you to Oklahoma’s lakes and invites you to join them for a fun day of fishing. Captain David Clark has been fishing in the area for more than 20 years and his love for it is indisputable. When you stumble upon a big school of Stripers, chances are, he’ll get more excited than you will. For him, it just doesn’t get much better than that – watching all of the poles go down at once.
Capt. David will take you fishing on Skiatook Lake on his 25’ Willie bay boat. This vessel accommodates 4 guests but it’s possible to take more if you’re bringing your kids along. Just make sure to inform the captain in advance about this. The boat is equipped with Humminbird and Lowrance navigation electronics, outriggers, downriggers, and a live bait tank.
Striped Bass is a superstar among freshwater fish – there’s no dispute about that among the anglers who have caught it. There are several different ways you can catch it: using live shad that Capt. David prepared in advance, the slab (casting spoon), white or yellow bucktail jigs, and deep running crankbaits are just some of them. It all depends if they’re at the bottom or schooling at the surface.
As a sport fish, Hybrids (Wipers) are well-known for their fighting ability and rapid growth. They can attain weights 18–20 pounds by 9 years of age. This fish takes sportfishing to another level! In Oklahoma, they fit perfectly into the ecosystem, especially in lakes with large shad populations.
You’ll need to purchase your fishing license in advance and bring some snacks and drinks. Capt. David will prepare everything else. Join him and have a day you’ll remember for a long time!
