Paddlefish, Gar, Carp, Crappie, Freshwater Drum, Hybrid Striped Bass, Striped Bass, Alligator Gar, Catfish, and more could be biting or out lurking, depending on when you go.
During the trip you might be slinging arrows, stuffing the livewell, pulling cats out of holes with your bare hands, or even tugging in giant prehistoric spoonbill! The options are endless!
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep up those energy levels!
You'll be dropping lines from a 21' Tracker center console that can carry up to 8 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed, and can be supplied just need to get with your captain! Snacks can be provided as well, again just get with your captain!
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day or night on the water never should. So make it happen, with Earl’s Guide Services!

Spoonbill Snagging River AM (2 MAX)
Spoonbill fishing is worth the work
Cameron met us out at the Oologah Dam spillway as discussed and told us what to expect. We had a lot of rain and the gates were open so he took us down river. I had a fish about 10 minutes in although I lost it right at the boat (my fault). My husband who isn’t a great fisherman had a 39lb fish about an hour in and tagged out. After that I was looking for my big one. With the river running fast it was hard to find a big one although we tried. Cameron had the highest energy and determination I have ever seen in a guide. He was determined that I was going to get a fish! I landed a couple of small ones and just as our time was up I got a medium sized one. (It will make a couple of meals!) and although he wanted to keep trying I’m the one who raised the white flag. We had a great day on the river. It was a gorgeous day, Cameron was a great guide and fun to hang out with and we couldn’t have asked for anything but bigger fish. We will definitely highly recommend Earl’s Guide Service to friends and we will be back to do this again!
