Tall Tales Fishing Charters
Head over to Lake Erie and create some great memories with Tall Tales Fishing Charters. Captain Jim has been fishing his whole life. His father taught him to fish when he was a kid, and it's a passion of his that has never diminished. He loves sharing this love of fishing with his customers.
Up to 6 anglers can fish on his 29' offshore fishing boat. This gives customers the best chance of hooking fish and more opportunities to reel 'em in. There's plenty of space on the deck so your group won't bump elbows. There's also some protection against the wind and sunshine.
Between April and October, you'll be targeting Yellow Perch and Walleye. You'll be able to fish for the full 8 hours or until limits are met. July and August are peak months to fish, so make sure you book your trip in advance.
Children over 10 are welcome on board, but you'll need to bring along your own life vests for them. You should also bring your own food and drink in a cooler. The fish caught during the trip will go into the captain's cooler. After the trip, the captain can tell you where to have your catch cleaned and filleted. This will be an additional cost.
You're welcome to bring beer along, as long as it isn't in glass bottles. Hard liquors are not allowed on board. You should wear white-soled shoes and dress in light layers, so you're ready for warm as well as chilly weather throughout the day.
Please buy a fishing license before the day. In case the trip has to be rescheduled, only sign the license on the day of the trip.

The Captain came prepared and put us on fish! 140 Perch this early in August was great!
Had a full 8 hour perch trip with captain Jim. He was well prepared and we couldn't ask for more. The boat was clean and everything we needed was supplied. He put us on the fish right away. When the bite slowed he was willing and able to find us more fish. 110 fish for four of us. He shared great stories, great time and a great boat. Will definitely use in the future. Highly recommend the knowledgeable captain Jim. Thanks again for a great trip

Captain Jim and Tom are the best! Both of them were very knowledgeable about bait presentation, proper techniques, etc. We almost hit our limit of perch for the day. We would have, but a front moved through and the fish came off the bite. If you are looking for a great day on Lake Erie and want a great experience, call Captain Jim. I'm planning on going up in the Spring for some walleye fishing. Tall Tails Fishing will be the only Charter Company that I will be calling!
The group had a great time with Captain Jim. 170 perch caught by our group of 6. Everyone want to go back next summer.

We had an awesome time with Jim. Boat is great, equipment is great, and he certainly knows what he’s talking about. He fished with us and we all had a great time.
