You'll set off from the coast of Panama City Beach in the captain's 41' Infiniti saltwater sportfisher. You'll reach some of the best fisheries in no time with its twin 325 HP Caterpillar engines and top-of-the-line navigational equipment. She also comes with a flybridge so you can spot your target even quicker, giving you a greater advantage over the fish. You'll also have AC, bunk beds for napping, a clean restroom, and lots of space, providing maximum comfort.
You'll be provided with top-quality Penn and Shimano gear, as well as live bait and lures. You'll be doing a lot of fishing though, so Capt. Joe recommends buying extra live bait before each trip so you don't run out.
You'll target a range of amazing species while you bottom fish over incredible reefs and underwater structures. The trolling trips are targeting King and Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, and occasionally yield Mahi Mahi.

I was very nervous about this trip as it was just me and my two sons, age 6 and 10. Immediately there was no reason to be. We hopped right on, took a nice ride out to a couple spots and quickly hit our max in Vermillion Snapper. Followed that up with trolling for Spanish Mackerel. We had a BLAST! The water was rough, but it kinda just added to the fun. Joe was amazing getting us everywhere we needed to go and finding different spots. Dusty was a huge help, great conversation and SO patient - especially with my younger wild child. We WILL be back, and I’m already dying to get us booked again. Plus we went home with 26lbs of fish!! Families? Single parents? Don’t be scared. This is the review I needed to see looking for a charter for us. TAKE THE TRIP! And do it with Long Shot.

Captian Joe and Dusty were both helpful and knowledgeable. We got the safety run down and headed out to the beautiful glGulf of America. Dusty was very clear on instructions on how we should be fishing. We got to our spot and got on fish immediately, then the sharks showed up. Captian took us to another spot and got us going right along again. Dusty helped our less experienced fisherwomen get hooked up and catch fish. We took my 5 month old son and had no issues, the boat had great AC. Overall great affordable trip that I would recommend to anyone and will be booking again myself!

Long Shot is the BEST!!!
6 Hour Summer Bottom Fishing Midday on July 14, 2025 • 5 adults
This was our 3rd charter with Long Shot! This time we brought my Daddy to celebrate his 75th birthday. Joe did a great job putting us on the fish! Although we battled the sharks & dolphins for our catch, Dusty worked hard to help us! We caught some great fish, including several species of Snapper. Both guys did a phenomenal job and we couldn’t be more pleased. Plus, they’re both very personable and approachable. We enjoyed our day & are thankful for another great fishing experience! I wholeheartedly recommend Long Shot for your next charter! We won’t use anyone else!
