Captain Alicia is a Panama City Beach native, a 3rd generation fisherman and the only female owned and operated charter company in Panama City. She has a lifetime of experience fishing the local waters which started at a very young age with her mother and father. She spent many days as a mate on her family's boats and the local party fishing vessels, before acquiring her captains license in 2007. Captain Alicia started her own business back in 2011. She has enjoyed taking people out, especially children, introducing them to the local fisheries and what she has loved her entire life. Beginning with the 2022 season, Capt. Alicia transitioned to a larger vessel, the Big Shot, and Capt. Joe took over the helm of the Long Shot. Capt. Joe has been Capt. Alicia's first mate since the beginning and knows both the boat and industry like the back of his hand. Capt. Joe was born in Panama City and moved away as a kid but the Gulf of Mexico and his passion for fishing drew him back in his teens. His years of experience and dedication show in each of the happy customers that disembark the Long Shot every day! Once you go fishing with Capt. Alicia aboard the Big Shot or Capt.     ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Fishing Trip with Long Shot Fishing Charter!

    8 Hour Trip – Shared • 2 adults

    My son and I had an outstanding experience with Long Shot Fishing Charter. Capt. Joe and first mate John were professional, friendly, and worked hard to make sure we had a great time on the water. The fishing was excellent. We caught a variety of fish, including bee liners, snapper, and bonito, which kept the action going throughout the trip. Capt. Joe knew exactly where to put us on the fish, and John was always ready to help with baiting hooks, landing fish, and making sure we were having a great experience. The boat itself was a huge plus. Their 41-foot vessel was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Having air conditioning and a restroom onboard made the trip even more enjoyable, especially during the hotter parts of the day. One of the unexpected highlights of the trip was meeting some really great people onboard. The friendly atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable, and it felt like everyone was there to have a good time and make memories. If you're looking for a professional charter with a knowledgeable captain, hardworking crew, and a comfortable boat, I highly recommend Long Shot Fishing Charter. My son and I made some great memories, caught some great fish, met some wonderful people, and will definitely be booking another trip with Capt. Joe and John in the future!

    Me and the Kids

    6 Hr – Spring/Fall Bottom Fish (AM) • 3 adults • 2 children

    I was very nervous about this trip as it was just me and my two sons, age 6 and 10. Immediately there was no reason to be. We hopped right on, took a nice ride out to a couple spots and quickly hit our max in Vermillion Snapper. Followed that up with trolling for Spanish Mackerel. We had a BLAST! The water was rough, but it kinda just added to the fun. Joe was amazing getting us everywhere we needed to go and finding different spots. Dusty was a huge help, great conversation and SO patient - especially with my younger wild child. We WILL be back, and I’m already dying to get us booked again. Plus we went home with 26lbs of fish!! Families? Single parents? Don’t be scared. This is the review I needed to see looking for a charter for us. TAKE THE TRIP! And do it with Long Shot.

    The Best Crew

    10 Hour Trip–Bottom Fishing • 8 adults

    We had an incredible 2-day fishing trip with Alisha and Griffin! They worked hard to keep us on the fish, and the experience exceeded our expectations. We caught an amazing variety, including Red Snapper, Black Snapper, B Snapper, Black Jacks, Mahi, Rudderfish, and Bonita. Their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly attitude made the trip both successful and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter, we highly recommend fishing with Alisha and Griffin. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year! Thank you both for an unforgettable trip!

    Incredible Crew, Incredible Memories!

    6 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing - 2:30 PM • 13 adults • 5 children

    We had the absolute best time with Captain Alicia and her amazing deckhands! From the moment we stepped on the boat, they made us feel welcome and made sure everyone had a great experience. They were knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to help us catch fish while making the trip fun for everyone. We booked this trip to celebrate our son’s 11th birthday, and they helped make it a day he’ll never forget. We highly recommend Captain Alicia and her crew. We can’t wait to book another trip—we’ll definitely be back soon!

    Always great with Captain Alecia

    6 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing - 12:30 PM • 7 adults

    The level of customer service you would expect from a great Captain. The morning started off with high winds and i reveived a phone call from Alecia asking if i wanted to reachedule. My kids being kids said they wanted to go anyways and away we went. The day turned out great and ended up with about 30lbs of fish for our 6 hour trip. i would 100% recommend Longshot charters to anyone whos looking for a great day of fishing!

Spring Break Family Fun

Apr 8, 2026 • Panama City Beach
Started off leaving the dock at 6am to a beautiful sunrise over St. Andrews Bay. After a 15 minute commute down Grand Lagoon we set the lines out. Within just a few minutes we had fish on. The bite was fast to start and the dolphins were hungry too. They stole as many to eat as we brought back. Talk about some exciting action, there is nothing more powerful than a dolphin on the other end of the line trying to steal your fish!

10 hour Snapper Slam

This group climbed aboard for a 10 hour trip in hopes to fill the freezer. Filled the freezer is exactly what we did. Chock full of Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and a Lane Snapper!

All Day Catching

May 24, 2025 • Panama City Beach
Plenty of action outside of Red Snapper season and good eats too. These guys had a great 10hr trip taking home some wahoo, Vermilion Snapper, Triggerfish, Mabgrove Snapper and Mahi-Mahi! We also caught lots of big Red Snapper and Grouper that we had to release.

Great 3hour Spanish Mackerel/Eco Tour

Great morning on the water with a lot of Spanish Mackerel action. We caught some and lost some to our friendly dolphins! After all they got to eat too. Talk about a reel screaming Tug! Great family fun had by all aboard.!
