The waters of Cape Cod Bay and beyond are abundant with Striped Bass, and it comes in great quantities. Not only can it be sizable, but Striper is also a challenge to reel in, and it will fight you for every inch of the line.
Anglers looking to get their fill of exciting light tackle fishing will have the best time here. Bear in mind that you're allowed to keep one Striped Bass per angler.
Your day will start as soon as you come aboard your captain's 24' Boston Whaler center console. The vessel is well-equipped for inshore fishing, with twin 150 HP Suzuki engines that will make sure you're on the best fishing grounds in no time. There's more than enough space for up to 6 people on board, as well as a private toilet, so you'll travel in full comfort.
Capt. Paul will provide all the fishing equipment you need, including live bait and a fishing license. First mate Captain Dave provides lifelong experience and will be there to help when the reel starts screaming, and after your trip, he'll clean the catch for you. For all his dedication and effort, a 15–20% tip is much appreciated.

What an incredible day on the water with Captain Paul and Sea Dog Fishing Team! We caught a bunch of stripers, including two absolute monsters over 30 pounds and two keepers. Then, on our final fish of the day, a great white shark stole it right in front of the boat. My five-year-old son and I will never forget that moment — he’s talked about how awesome it was every single day since. Captain Paul was the ultimate professional and made our first striper fishing trip the kind of father-son experience people dream about. From the moment we stepped on the boat, we knew we had the right captain. He was amazing with my son — treating him like another member of the team instead of just a kid among adults. He also took plenty of photos and videos so I could stay fully present in the experience. I will be booking Captain Paul for every future fishing trip, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Truly an unforgettable day.
We dealt with some unfortunate weather, but Capt. Paul was flexible and accommodating with the schedule, and worked hard at trying to find the fish. We were only one of a dozen boats out there struggling, but you can’t control the fish - even with my luring “Here fishy fishy” calls! 😂 Regardless, it was a great morning on the water, and will definitely book with him again next summer!

Captains Paul and Dave could not have done a better job. With challenging weather and water conditions, they recommended an ideal depart time, then took their time to find the fish. Once they did we hit on huge striper after huge striper - it seemed endless! What a trip. Experience and determination are invaluable and these guys are just dedicated to getting on the fish no matter what it takes. We could not recommend these guys more highly!

Went out (2 parents 2 teenagers) looking for Bass. Captain Paul was terrific, explaining all throughout the day about the conditions and the likelihood of being able to catch something. In the end, we were all able to catch a few fish each, but unfortunately could not keep them because they were too big. It was great fun and educational; a day we won’t soon forget. Highly recommend the experience.
Paul and his son were great fishing guides! They were flexible woth the schedule as we had to get to Boston later that day. They did great with our 6 and 8 year old kiddos and hooked us multiple striped bass. Highly recommend!

Captain Paul Spear has been fishing for as long as he can remember. Over time, his hobby became a passion and eventually turned into a family business as his son Kevin was First Mate until he graduated college. Captain Spear holds a USCG License, as does his first mate, Captain Dave Bois, a lifelong fisherman and the former owner of a very respected Cape Cod charter business Stripers R Us . Together, they've got many years of experience putting anglers on fish and showing them a good time on the water. Capt. Paul enjoys taking families out and making it possible for them to have fun on the water and admire the stunning Cape Cod scenery.
