Ortus Charters is located on the Outer Cape and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters. They will meet you in various harbors based on where the fishing is the best, so that we can get you on the fish as quickly as possible. Capt. Scott has been fishing the waters of the Cape for over 20 years and loves to share his love of the fertile waters and all the sea creatures you'll get to experience. Come experience for yourself why Saltwater Magazine has Cape Cod as one of the best places to fish during the summer.
He will make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves either a 5 to 8-hour trip, mainly fishing for Tuna, Bluefish, Striped Bass, Cod, Black Sea Bass, Flounder, and Haddock, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use various techniques such as casting with light tackle, heavy tackle for giant bluefin tuna, trolling, jigging, kite fishing, and using spinning gear.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 2026 Cape Horn 32T boat. The boat is powered with twin Suzuki 350 HP engines to get us to the fishing grounds quickly and safely.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price, so you can focus on what really matters: fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The boat is USCG-inspected for safety, and the boat is built to be unsinkable.
The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat will be supplied with water for your pleasure. Be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own gear.

Capt Scott and Mate Ed: Our New Go To's
Our circle of friends and family had been fishing with the same captain for years until a medical event took him out of the game. Enter Captain Scott. He really put in a ton of work to make sure I gave my in-laws a great first time trip up to the Cape, changing our points of departure to make sure we were going to be catching fish. We caught a ton of striped bass and even bagged 3 keepers off of Monomoy. Scott did an amazing job and so did Ed. I can't recommend them enough. We will be using them going forward.

Beautiful day on the water
Our fishing trip with Scott was great even though we only caught one fish. That happens some days. Scott tried every possible way to entice the fish but they were in a quiet mood. Other boats fishing near us, also were not filling the chest with fish either. Timing is everything. We plan on using Scott next time we get to the Cape. Bill, Jackie and George

Another great trip with Ortus!
This is our third time with Ortus charters and the trips keep getting better and better! Scott and Mark we’re excellent skippers and anglers! This morning was epic - stripers, blues, whales. dolphins, a full live well and memories to last a lifetime! Will definitely be booking again with Ortus charters!
