Topp Dogg Fishing Guides
When you're looking to get your fill of thrilling inshore fishing action, turn to Topp Dogg Fishing Guides! Captain Alan Pereyra runs private bay trips all over Galveston Bay Complex and he's got over 18 years of professional angling experience working for him and his customers.
Capt. Alan makes it his mission to organize a fun and productive fishing adventure for you and he'll always try to accommodate your personal fishing preferences. When fishing with him, you'll focus on targeting Speckled Trout and Redfish in the prolific Galveston waters. Other seasonal species including Flounder, Bull Reds, Sand Seatrout, and Black Drum could also easily find their way to your line.
Live bait is irresistible to the fish species you'll be targeting, especially live croaker and shrimp (used depending on the season). There's an additional charge (around $15 per angler) to use live bait, but it's well worth it.
Your ride and fishing platform is a reliable 24' Kenner bay boat with a 250 HP Suzuki engine and more than enough room to accommodate up to 3 anglers. The vessel is a quality fishing machine with top-of-the-line navigational equipment and all USCG approved safety equipment.
There's also non-slip flooring on board, so you can move around easily. Bear in mind that glass isn't allowed on board.
When it comes to the fishing equipment, Capt. Alan will provide top-of-the-line Waterloo rods and Penn spinning reels and braided line for you. Having the best fishing gear and tackle will allow you to catch more fish.
Before you come aboard, you should have a valid Texas fishing license with you, along with drinks and snacks to last the day. Your experienced and friendly guide will take care of everything else.
Capt. Alan loves having kids on board (6+ years) – he's a patient teacher who will help your little ones to catch their first fish.
Whether you're a beginner angler or a pro, you're going to have a blast fishing with Topp Dogg Fishing Guides!

Captain Allen was an absolute pleasure to do business with! Me and my twin boys when out for their bday present. The weather has not been great and he told me EXACTLY what to expect. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything very clearly to me and my boys. When it came to catching fish he knew exactly what and where it was gonna take place as well as being extremely patient with us as far as hitting our target with casting .
We had a great experience with Captain Allen. Allen was knowledgeable, patient, and always doing what he could to find the fish.. The weather and fishing conditions were not great but we caught a bunch of fish, and our limits of keeper trout. it was a fun, successful, and well-run trip. We’d absolutely recommend this guide to anyone looking for a great day of fishing, and we’re looking forward to coming back again.
captain alan took myself and 12 yr old out on a morning trip and we had a blast. captain was on time, knowledgeable and paitent. He made it real enoyable. We hit out limit and went home with fish. we will definitely be back !

Went out this last weekend with Topp Dogg and Capt Alan, boat was clean, gear was in great shape, Capt was friendly, helpful, professional and very patient with my special-needs teen and his younger teen brother who hadn't fished in several years. He put us on fish in locations all over the Bay, redfish and speckled trout, we caught a lot of fish (and lost several more) including a big redfish that took a while for the boy to bring in, with Capt Alan helping him with patient suggestions from right next to him. Landed that beauty! We'll be back!

Thanks Kevin, I am glad we were able to catch lots of fish & a couple of really nice redfish. Like I told you after 24 years I have dealt with all kinds of fishermen, the key to success is treating each one with respect & patience. Hope you guys had fun & come back soon.
We went right after a tropical storm, but Captain still out us on them. He didn’t settle at a spot. He made sure that he put us on them. Honestly he did an awesome job and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I have been a professional full-time guide since 2001. I grew up fishing with my family on freshwater and in Galveston. I have always had a passion for fishing and I love to put smiles on my customers' faces. There are a lot of services to choose from, but finding a dedicated, experienced, and professional captain is the key. I feel I can adjust to the weather conditions and fish patterns better than most other guides. That can make all the difference in having a bad or good fishing experience. I'm known for being professional and patient with my customers, especially the kids. I just want my customers to have the best experience possible.
