First Bite Fishing Charters with Captain Austin Harris offers many different styles of fishing, depending on what you and your crew would like to do. Capt. Austin was raised fishing and knows right where the hot bite is. From inshore and offshore tournaments, Austin has done them all!
The boat is a 21 foot Egret Moccasin bay boat, powered by a 200 HP Suzuki. She's also equipped with a Garmin GPS that helps the captain find the fish and make sure everyone is safe during the trip. There's enough room for 4 guests to fish at the same time. There's a cooler filled with ice, so your snacks and drinks will stay cool and fresh.
Captain Austin likes to give his customers the best experience possible. With the 21 Egret Moccasin being the finest boat in its class Austin also provides the best tackle available on the market today with all Shimano Tackle. Shimano Stradics paired with Shimano Teramar rods and Shimano Saragosas with Shimano Terez rods.
Inshore trips revolve around Redfish, as there are so many different ways you can catch them, from fly fishing to big bottom fishing reels. When it comes to fly fishing, you'll need to bring your own equipment. You'll also target Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, Snapper, Grouper, and many more.
Capt. Austin's principal goal is making sure everyone has an amazing time. While keeping everyone safe and catching big fish. As he started fishing when he was a little kid, he loves having kids on the boat, showing them the way he learned and getting them hooked on fishing!

Even tho the local marinas were out of bait, we still hit the waters and he was able to borrow some hoagies from a local and we fell in behind a shrimp boat to catch two decent sharks! Austin was very cool, nice, and able to save the day for us to create some good memories! Thanks Captain Austin!

Our trip with Captain Austin was outstanding from start to finish. His deep knowledge of the local waters and ability to find the best fishing spots made the day a huge success. We caught 6 redfish, 2 bluefish, a flounder, and several stingrays, and he made the entire experience fun, safe, and memorable. Would definitely go again!
Captain Austin was really competent in what he was doing. Knew good spots for good fish. He went above and beyond to make sure you caught a fish. Got on 2 mangrove snappers & 2 redfish! Would definitely recommend
The captain put us on fish immediately. We caught the limit of Red Fish with in 75 minutes of our 7:00 AM start. He worked hard to find speckled trout, but we never had another bite. When I am in the area again, I’ll use him again.
Perfect trip for a family adventure! Thanks Captain Austin for taking us out to multiple spots where we caught a total of 14 fish all together. It was me, my husband and my two girls, ages 13 and 11. We even kept a few and had them all cooked up at the dockside restaurant- was amazing! Captain Austin was so great with the girls and even if you are a first-time adult fisher(person). He supplies everything. You just show up at the dock, easy parking, get on the boat and go! If you want to go the extra mile for a great, family adventure, this one is truly priceless!!!!
