This was a dream! We caught a massive dorado & it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for the review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We are very glad to hear it was a dream and that catching a dorado made it unforgettable. Hope to see you again soon.
Carlos was great, I enjoyed the trip. He tried to get us into fish. They did not cooperate

Fought fish with no chair. Not safe leaning on the edge of boat
We purchased a 5 hour tour which was cut short 1 hour by the captain. Our captain didn't communicate what he wanted us to do even with an individual on the boat that was able to speak Spanish. The biggest turnoff was having my sons on the boat and getting to watch the captain grab a homedpot bucket to defecate. I the bucket remained on the boat for about 30 minutes before he washed it out allowing us to watch this process and his excrement. This I did not pay for. Had the captain not felt well or gave a heads up we would have given some understanding to the situation or rescheduled for another time. We were also unaware that the fishing permits (20 each person) and bait( 30$) was an additional charge after booking. This was not noted in the description. Not a big deal but be aware when booking. We did catch 3 fish by trolling when we finally setup he used 3 baits out of the bait purchased. We continued to troll and indicated that the lines lost the bait. Tony refused to check and we continued for about 30 minutes until he called the trip early and no bait was on the hooks when he reeled the lines in. Needed less to say bait would have helped to catch some fish and would have been nice for my sons to continue fishing. When I brought these circumstances up to Juan he responded quickly that he would look into the situation and offered me a 50% discount for a future booking. I will leave it up to the next reader of this to place their family in this situation and thank god my daughter wasn't there my level of tolerance would have been tremendously lower. I suggested some refund for this trip which was never responded to. I guess buyer beware. For me the trip wasn't about catching fish but the enjoyment of spending time with my boys. We did see beautiful landscape, whales, beaches etc. where the excursion failed was getting to watch someone take a sh!t in a bucked and having it dumped out beside us. Tony's ornery state isn't a good recipe for patrons just looking for a fun experience. I wouldn't recommend this team for anyone looking for an easy morning on the water.

We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate your feedback. After a thorough discussion with Tony, where he explained the situation, and in consultation with our Customer Care Manager, we would like to express the following: The captain, like any other person on the boat, is human and subject to the same physiological needs. When on a boat without a bathroom, it is necessary to use a bucket, just as any guest would in a similar situation. The captain used the bucket in a discreet location, behind the central console, and subsequently disposed of its contents in the water in an appropriate manner. Regarding the tour duration, we have reviewed the log book, and indeed, the trip started at 6:15 AM and returned at 11:11 AM, which corresponds to the 5-hour standard duration for which you paid. It is important to note that the decision to return to port was not made by Tony, but rather, it was because the allotted time for the trip had been completed. This is confirmed by the log books from that day. As for your refund request, we generally strive to offer a goodwill solution, as we did by offering you a 50% discount on a future booking. Had you requested to return to port earlier due to what you described as a "defecation fishing" experience, we would have likely considered a full refund. However, you chose to continue the trip and were able to catch three fish, which was part of the experience you booked. We would also like to highlight that Tony is one of our most popular and well-liked captains among clients. With over 30 years of fishing experience in the waters of Cabo San Lucas, we have full confidence in his excellent skills and expertise as a fisherman. He has always been praised for his professionalism and dedication to providing a memorable experience for his guests. Additionally, the description on the Fishing Booker page clearly outlines what is included and what is not in the tour, including charges for licenses, bait, and pier access. Perhaps more attention to these details at the time of booking would have clarified any uncertainties. These charges are standard and were communicated again to you at least 24 hours prior to the tour. Had you not agreed to them, you had the option to cancel the booking beforehand. Lastly, for future trips, we offer larger boats with restrooms, though these come at a higher price. We appreciate your understanding and wish you all the best in your future experiences. Sincerely, Juan Carlos Sushi Time

Having used Sushitime fishing charters multiple times in the past I expected more. Sushitime let us down today. When we pull up early to the docks the manager questions our Mexican fishing lic. And tries to get us to buy one through him for $150 US. The captain (Jesus) spent 4 of the 5 hour charter circling one area approximately 3 miles off shore and 2 miles north west of the harbor. I kept inquiring as to why we were the only boat out there the whole time. We knew others from our party were catching numerous fish further up. Mid way through it became apparent that Jesus was staying close to the harbor as he propped a piece of wood under one side of the gas tank. Needless to say, he had limited tackle (about 2 spare jigs) to choose from and not sufficient gas for our trip. He brought us back to the docks early. the Bimini also didn't work and we roasted in the sun.

We are sorry to hear that you where disappointed, Capt. Jesus is a very experienced captain, and every capitan has their spots and routes, the area you where fishing had good Mahi Mahi bites the day before, we are glad you where able to land two out of the three Mahi bites in that area. $150 usd for three licenses it's not accurate, the price we charge is $20 usd per license and that includes your dock fee, nonetheless you are welcome to bring your own as this was your case. We provide this information with your confirmation if you wish to go over it. We appreciate your feedback and will surely look into it, in order to avoid similar situations in the future. We thank you for your kind patronage and apologize for any shortcomings in our customer care on this trip.
