Get ready for a freshwater adventure in Central Florida with Family Style Fishing! Your guide for the day, Allen Maddox, is a 3rd-generation angler and Florida native with a lifetime of experience fishing the lakes and rivers around Orlando. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing family trip or the ultimate freshwater challenge, your time on board will be tailored to fit your needs and preferences.
You’ll be fishing from a 21’ Sea Chaser bay boat, equipped with a wireless trolling motor, live bait tank, state-of-the-art navigational equipment, safety gear, and fishing tackle. The boat’s shallow draft is perfect for fishing rivers, lakes, and other low-lying areas and the deck is spacious enough to accommodate you and 3 other guests. Everyone can fish at the same time and kids of all ages are more than welcome aboard.
You’ll be targeting Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Crappie, and Sunfish while casting, jigging, and trolling. Allen also specializes in popping, drifting, and spinning so you can expect to switch up your style depending on what your target species is.
If the sun is too hot and you prefer night fishing, Allen also offers trips starting at 6:00 p.m. so you can fish while you enjoy the beautiful sunset. You’ll be provided with high-end rods and reels made by Penn and Abu Garcia. You can also buy live bait for an additional price of $30 a dozen. At the end of the day, your catch will be cleaned and filleted so it’s one step closer to becoming a delicious entrée!
You will need to purchase your own fishing license. Just be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure and bring some sunscreen as well as your favorite food and drinks.

Captain Allen was great. He responds quickly to questions. Had good directions on meeting location. He was ready to go as soon as we got there. The conditions were not ideal with the rain and wind that had the water churned up. He got us out to a few spots and put us on fish. I had a beginner with me and he helped her and got her casting on her own. She may have even out fished me. Al
Al it was an absolute pleasure fishing with y'all!!!! They say time flies when you are having fun and this trip was certainly a testament to that. The fish were just a bonus!!!!
Alan (Captain Alan) was awesome. He was timely and very helpful. There were 3 in our group and he was well equipped for the fishing trip. We didn't catch a lot, but that's how fishing goes. The time on the water was so peaceful and calming. We just enjoyed being on the water and seeing nature.
Our trip was an evening fishing excursion on Lake Apopka. Captain Allen and his boat were in the water waiting on us arrival. On this day we would target Largemouth Bass. He took us to some spots he had earmarked as good locations. The first hour or so, we were only able to land one fish. We were using rubber worms. He was quickly suggested we move to another spot and to switch up tactics. This time were using chatter bait lures. It was , proven to be a solid move because at that point on our luck had changed. All of us were catching them soon after. Captain Allen was engaging to us and super friendly. I would recommend him for future fishing events.
Brian it was an absolute pleasure meeting y'all and having y'all on board!! My motto has always been "a family that fishes together sticks together". It's nice to see y'all have that same mindset. I hope y'all will come and do it again!! Capt Allen
The capitan was friendly and easy to communicate with and was on time ready to go fish. He worked hard to keep us on fish until the very end! The boat was clean and the capitan was attentive to help in any way we needed ans was very knowledgeable I would highly recommend.

This was some of the best fishing ive had in central florida. Captain Allen was knowledgeable and ensured we caught fish. Easy to work with and very convenient. We caught great catfish and Crappie! I was impressed! Will be booking again!
