Your captain – Justin DeMass is a longtime member of the Last Cast team and a skillful guide with tournament experience. He’ll use his vast knowledge, acquired by fishing the local waters to quickly put you on the fish.
Captain’s vessel of choice is a 26’ Pathfinder Bay Boat, powered by a powerful 300 HP Yamaha outboard. Capable of a top speed of 50 knots, the boat gets you to the fishing grounds in just 10 minutes. On board you’ll find a wireless trolling motor, communication and navigation electronics, a live bait tank, and a fishfinder. Simply put, you’ll have access to all the tools you’d need for a successful day of fishing.
You’ll be able to experience one of the richest fisheries in the world and have access to all the species that call Destin’s inshore waters their home. Different trips and techniques will give you a shot at different species but on the whole, some of the most popular ones include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and Black Drum.
Another Last Cast is a family-friendly charter. Captain Justin loves introducing kids to the sport and is very patient with them when teaching them the basic techniques. His main goal is to make each trip a relaxing and fun experience for anglers of all ages and skill levels.
The charter will provide all guests with world-class fishing equipment and artificial lures. If you’re using live bait on your trips it will also be included in the price. Another thing covered by the charter is your fishing license so no need to worry about getting one before your trip.

Another Last Cast: An Unforgettable Fishing Trip!

Our fishing trip with Another Last Cast was absolutely fantastic! We had an incredible time on the water, catching fish and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The service was top-notch; everything was handled with professionalism and a smile. Our captain was truly awesome – incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters and fishing techniques, and also super friendly and personable, making the whole experience even better. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun. We'll definitely be booking with Another Last Cast again the next time we're in town. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great fishing experience!

Captain Blake was knowledgeable and friendly. I went with my twin sister. She has experience with fishing and I did not. Captain Blake was patient with me. It made for a wonderful experience. We were able to catch some fish. We took home some trout I would very highly recommend this Carter to everyone.

Bad conditions, but great captain and trip

Our charter was the day after Destin got over three ones of rain. As that it was cold and very windy, made for rough conditions. To the rescue, Captain Tanner. He was very nice, helpful and kept us moving to try to catch fish. We know other boats that came in without a keeper, but we had four nice size redfish and black drum. We had a very good time yesterday, and ate our catch today. Yummy! Thank you Captain Tanner and Captain Blake!

Captain Blake Nelson is the owner of Last Cast Charters. He grew up in Destin, FL, and has been fishing the Choctawhatchee Bay and Gulf Coast his whole life. He and his brother began fishing in professional Redfish tournaments after college as a hobby, and eventually, it became a career. He’s placed first in the IFA Redfish Tour and has won several other inshore fishing awards as well. In 2017, he became the world champion of the Destin Cobia Tournament after landing a 98.5 lb Cobia, the biggest one caught in 10 years. He decided to start his own charter service in 2008 because he loves meeting new people and sharing his passion with others. He’s made a lot of friends on the water and is looking forward to taking you on the adventure of a lifetime. Depending on the boat you book, your captain may also be Capt. Mitchell, Capt.
