Join Black Snapper for an exciting adventure in the Golfito Bay! Captain Kevin Vasquez has been running charters and putting customers on big game fish since 2000. He’s a local to these waters and has been fishing since he was a kid, so he knows all the best spots to get you hooked up in no time!
Your boat for the day is a spacious 30’ Ocean Master center console. This boat comes with top-grade navigational instruments, fishing equipment, and safety gear. You’ll have a private toilet on board and enough space on the deck for up to 4 guests to fish at the same time. Children above the ages of 6 are welcome to join in on the action and they’ll be provided life jackets as well.
Capt. Kevin offers both inshore and offshore fishing trips. You’ll target a range of species from the Pavon Bay and further out into the deep blue Pacific. Your bucket list for the day includes Sailfish, Blue and Black Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Broomtail Grouper, Cubera Snapper, Roosterfish, Snook, and African Pompano (Jack). Many species, including Billfish and Roosterfish, are catch and release only but you can keep up to 3 legal fish, per Costa Rican law.
You’ll be able to choose from a range of techniques, including jigging, casting, and trolling. Capt. Kevin will supply you with state-of-the-art Penn and Shimano rods and reels so you can fish like a pro. He’s an excellent guide and instructor and loves teaching his customers new tricks.
Your fishing license is already covered. You’ll be provided with fruit, juice, and water on half-day trips, as well as lunch and drinks on full-day trips. All you have to bring is some sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, and everything else will be taken care of.
Get ready for a fun adventure in Golfito with Black Snapper! Invite the whole family and create lasting memories off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica!
