When it comes to Hawaii, there are countless things to experience, and superb fishing is definitely one of them. If you’re on the “Big Island” and are looking for your next fishing expedition, then Seelife Adventures has a lot to offer!
Team up with Captain Scott Neel and let him take you to the fast and furious fishing action that could easily land you your next trophy catch. Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin come in gigantic sizes here, and the Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo (Ono) bite is just as productive.
Your guide has decades of fishing experience, and he’ll make sure that your trip is custom-made to your preferences. He prides himself on running family-friendly charters where everyone on board has a blast and catches something brag-worthy.
Capt. Scott will provide you with top-quality Shimano Tiagras reels and Melton International rods for catching big and hard-fighting fish. You will have drinks and snacks on every trip, and lunch is provided on longer trips.
For the trip to be a complete success, you need a reliable boat, and your guide has just the thing. His 31’ Bertram fisher has twin 315 HP Cummins engines and plenty of room to sit up to 6 people. You will travel in full comfort thanks to the ample seating space, private toilet, and plenty of shade on the deck.
With a flybridge, a fighting chair, and outriggers, this vessel really is a thing of beauty. What’s more, she’s famous, because a world-record-size fish was caught from her. Talk about a good luck charm!
The first mate will be at your disposal at all times, and he will clean and fillet your catch for you after the trip. If you’d like to go snorkeling with the kids, he’ll be there to help out with getting ready.
When you book a trip with Seelife Adventures, you’re in for an all-inclusive fishing extravaganza that will make it difficult to come back to land!

3/4 Day Trip on July 28, 2022
I can’t say enough good things about this organization, it was top notch from the beginning! Brent and Mark were absolutely great guys to fish with, they tried their hardest to get my son and I onto fish. Fortunately, my son was able to catch a nice Ono and we were able to see an awesome marlin jumping right in front of our boat, unfortunately he didn’t bite but the experience was amazing. Mark and Brent were very personable and were full of knowledge, and taught us many things about fishing as well have as some history of the island. Would not hesitate to recommend Sealife to anyone looking for a great trip. Thanks guys for the awesome time!!

Went out on a 3/4 day trip with Captain Adam and deckhand Michael. These guys went all over looking for the elusive bite. Finally around 11:45 we got our hit and got a nice sized striped Marlin. My 15yr old fought him the whole way. Great coaching from Michael to help him navigate the experience and learn how to be an angler. Great boat work and communication by deckhand and captain as lines stayed tight. Highly recommend. Communication was perfect before during and after trip. Only watch out is that the Boat was perfect for the three of us. I would say that if it’s more than 4 that boat would be tight for long periods of time. Cabin was adequate but smaller so know that if you have a large party.

4 Hour Trip (AM) on May 4, 2022
Had some confusion with the intended time of departure but got underway at 7:00a. Michael was the crewman that provided us some details regarding local fauna and sea life in the area. After running for an hour and a half, we hooked up on 3 rods at the same time. Obviously, there was a lot of confusion. We landed 32lb and 20lb Ono's. We lost the third. Everyone in our party was very excited and pleased with the result. Michael fileted the Onos and we left with a gallon bag full of delicious fish that we chowed on for the rest of our trip.

Directions in the dark were a bit confusing at first light. Once we got on the water we hooked a couple of mahi mahi but got the one in the boat. We saw a pod of pilot whales and we watched a marlin raise but didnt get it hooked. Brent was awesome in educating us about Hawaiian fish and fishing and very personable. Howard tried to get us on the fish and was very knowledgeable about the waters. Whenever we werent getting success with trolling we switched to jigging for tuna. Overall a great experience and after a 20 year mission to catch mahi this crew did an amazing job in making it happen. Thank you for having us and mahalo!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. Captain Howard and the first mate were great on giving lots of insight both in the difference in fishing on the open sea and about the island. Within minutes of being out if the bay the hooks were in the water. And within 30 minutes we had not 1 but 3 bites go all at once. We were able to get 2 of them in but the 3rd got away. But that's OK because we were able to get a total of 5 Ono within our 4 hours which was amazing. We even were lucky enough to have a sea turtle waiting at the dock for us on our return. We for sure will be booking again when we come back to the island.

Captain Scott Neel has spent most of his life on the water, both as an angler and when he was in the Navy. Fishing has always been his lifelong passion, along with surfing, which is why he decided to start running charters for a living. For him, the best part of the job is meeting new people and sharing experiences with them. Capt. Scott especially loves seeing the smiling and excited faces of anglers and kids when they catch their first fish.
