Waterdog Guide Service welcomes you for a great fishing experience exploring the inlets, nearshore, and offshore waters of Atlantic Beach! Captain Tom Roller has been fishing for as long as he can remember, and he's happy to show you to some of his favorite spots and honey holes in the area.
You'll spend the day on his 2023 28' Contender 28T center console boat. The boat is powered by twin 200 HP mercury engines, reaching some serious speed and taking you to the fishing grounds in a matter of minutes. It can accommodate up to 5 anglers aboard, so it's the perfect vessel to take you out for a fun day with a group of friends.
This is a fish-rich area with some of the best inshore fishing opportunities, so you'll have your hands full throughout the day. You can target fish like Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sharks, Bluefish, and Spanish Mackerel in the shallow waters. Heading nearshore will put you in reach of Flounder, King Mackerel, and Amberjack.
The offshore waters will provide you with great access to big Grouper, Cobia, and Mahi Mahi. You can expect to have fun and some serious action, all while enjoying some of the most beautiful natural views and learning about the area's wildlife.
There's a variety of trips you can choose from that can satisfy any angler's needs. Capt. Tom welcomes fishermen of all skill levels, and he'll be happy to introduce you to the joys of fishing. He'll provide you with quality equipment, including fly fishing tackle, and although he specializes in using lures, he'll provide live bait if that's what you prefer.
All that's left to do is book a trip you like and join Waterdog Guide Service for an unforgettable time in North Carolina waters!

Great experience with Captain Tom. He worked hard to get us on the fish. We didn't get the fish we were hoping for be we did get fish. We landed about 50-60 fish, most we couldn't keep. It's called fishing for a reason. Tom was knowledgeable, and made sure at the end of the day we had a catch we were sure to enjoy for days. He cleaned up all of our fish and to say he kept us out till we had a good haul was an understatement. Thank you Capt Tom and Happy Fathers day.
Awesome experience! Captain Tom worked really hard to make sure we caught fish and had a great time. He kept us out until we got our target and gave us a ton of knowledge about the local fishery. Light tackle put the sport back in fishing.
Capt. Tom knows where the fish are and how to get them. Thanks for a great charter and the wisdom you passed along!!!
The afternoon wind was blowing about 18-20 mph. Tom got us to a spot where we cound drift for casting and then trolling. He worked very hard in tough conditions. He was very knowledable on local fishing around Moorehead City / Atlantic Beach. Great attitude as well.
The charter operator canceled on trip date. This is an automated posting.
