From the get go Captain Mike and his crewmate were helpful and friendly. I took my 13 year old son and we are both novice fisherman. They were more than patient with is and extremely helpful when the fish started biting. Even though the fish were not showing up at the start I could tell Captain Mike was doing everything he could to find us a good location…. and when he did, BOOM the fish if a lifetime for my son. He is still talking about it. We will be back for sure. The boat was clean and steady. A+ experience. These guys known what they are doing and they do it well.

It was a relatively quiet day on the bay ... pulled in a few Spanish mackerel while trolling but the sheepshead weren't biting. Around mid-day, the captain George and mate Tanner spotted a nice cobia and hooked into it ... my son Nolan fought it in and with Tanner on the net, landed it in the boat. That was pretty awesome! Shortly after that, we spotted and hooked into another cobia ... my turn now. After another exciting battle we got this one in the boat as well. Two really nice cobia (about 40# each) really made our day!! George and Tanner ran a great boat ... friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. George also cleaned our catch when we got back to the marina and we were happy to be leaving with two coolers full of filets to take home. I would definitely recommend this charter and look forward to going out with Islander Sportfishing again on our next trip to the area.
These guys are nothing less than amazing. I brought my 6 year old out to hopefully catch some fish. George and Tanner treated him like a king. We had great luck based off of knowledge of the area. If you don’t book with these guys you are truly missing out. I’d recommend them with the upmost respect. Tight lines all day and my son is still glowing and talking about his experience 5 hours later. Thank you guys!! A memory I’ll keep forever.
CPT George and his crew went the extra mile to ensure my son and I had a truly memorable experience for our first fishing charter. Seeing that we were novice fishermen, CPT George and his mate took the time to explain to us the different types of rods, reels, baits, etc., used to saltwater fish. Because of this experience my son caught his first Flounder and cannot wait for our next excursion with CPT George.
