Join BJ Guide Service fishing the rivers and inshore ocean waters of Northwest Oregon. Owner and guide Billy Johnson is a lifetime lower Columbia resident fisherman. He was born into a family of fishermen, so you can be sure that he knows the best fishing grounds in the area!
Come aboard the 25' Koffler center console boat and head for your next adventure. The boat has all the navigational equipment you need in order for your trip to be productive. It's powered by 2 Mercury 200 HP engines.
The boat can accommodate up to 6 people fishing at once, and it's wheelchair accessible. The captain has regular clients with disabilities, so he's experienced in helping everyone have a great time on board!
All the fishing gear will be provided by your guide. Guide Billy only uses top-notch equipment, and all you need to do is get a fishing license, which can be done online.
Depending on the season, you'll be targeting Chinook and Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and Sturgeon. All trips are season and tide dependant, so your guide will give you all the details beforehand.
On the full day trip, you can go river fishing, and then head out to the inshore waters of the Pacific Ocean for a full experience.
This is a great trip to take your kids on, since they have a lot of fun with guide Billy. There are life jackets of all sizes, and there's no charge for children under 6. There's a porta-potty toilet on the boat, but it's possible to stop by a proper restroom if need be.
You'll be fishing using live bait, which is always caught the day before the trip. All you need to bring is your fishing license, some rain gear, and food and drinks to stay refreshed throughout the day.

Sturgeon fishing was a lot of fun with Captain Billy. He got us in the right places to catch fish and made for a great day. Kids were thrilled to catch 20 big fish. Even Grandma had a great time reeling them in. When the wind picked up in the early afternoon, he knew right were to go to keep fishing in calmer waters. Caught the last fish just we were ready bring in the final pole. Great way to end the day (although my 9 year wanted to keep fishing until sundown)!

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, but Bill deserves a great review!!! Our hroup had an amazing time!!! Beautiful boat, tons of fish caught and the best of all was Bill. We had some inexperienced family members on his boat who were nervous. Bill went out of his way to help teach them, tell fun stories and at the same time we catch a tons of fish!!!

He'll tell the customers everything there is to know about the area and impress them with his in-depth history knowledge (the only ever bombed place in mainland US is 1 mile away from his house! - June 21, 194 Fort Stevens).

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
